Our project took a longer time than projected to finish but our payment didn’t increase at all, which was a great relief. Steven did a wonderful job! We found Boise Skylight Company at a local home show. We had just bought a new home and some of the rooms in the center of our home were extremely dark. We had been talking about putting in some solar tubes. We set up an appointment for an estimate with Steven and Cody. They provided us with a reasonable quote and said they could install right then and there. They had the job completed within two hours and did a really great job, cleaned up after themselves and were very easy to work with. We brought them back a week later to do two additional solar tubes in our hallway. We can’t believe the amount of light these things added to the interior of our home.

Replacing an old skylight. They came out and assessed what was needed ,ordered the skylight and installed once it came in. The installation took maybe 15 minutes to remove old skylight and put new one in without a mess. Outstanding and highly recommend.

I called Boise Skylight to come replace some skylights in my older manufactured home. Phil came out and gave me a free quote that was pleasantly lower than I anticipated. Manufactured homes come with their own set of issues, and Phil was great explaining the process. I scheduled the job and they were able to come complete it within 2 weeks. Their work and customer service is top notch. They communicated every step with me and sent me photos of their work. I would recommend them to anyone!

Replacing a skylight is something I did not want to tackle. Called Boise Skylight first to get a quote. I usually get three bids for a project. From setting up the appointment to install was top notch. They have been installing skylights for a long time and it shows. Prompt, personable, clean and more affordable than we thought. The skylight looks great and is so much better than the one that was in the house. Tracy ,Paul and the installer Steven were terrific. Had a bathroom/closet/stairwell & hallway that did not have much natural light. After researching different companies we settled on Boise Skylight. Paul came out the next day and discussed options and provided a quote. We also elected to replace a non-working attic fan in addition to placing a gable fan in attic. Steve came to our house three days later and place 4 tunnel skylights and both fans the same day! The fans are super quiet and work well. Steven and Paul are masters at their craft! I couldn’t recommend them more. They were able to put in a skylight that goes through an upstairs room closet and an attic in order to bring light into our kitchen on the first floor. I LOVE it and the light has been life changing! Our living room and hallway was so dark that, during the day, we used our can lights constantly. We needed a solution and contacted Boise Skylight for some help. Paul was our sales contact. He told us about Velux Sun Tunnels, explaining all the advantages they could bring to both areas. He helped determine the light we would gain, and suggested what models to install along with locations the fixtures would be installed. Steven was our installer. He is a hard working individual and promptly set himself to work. Throughout the installation I was talking and asking a lot of questions. He didn't mind at all and answered all the questions I had. Steven came out and did a fantastic job explaining how much light we should expect from the solar light tube, with the knowledge we gained from his expertise we decided to go with two so our kitchen area as well as a section of our great area would benefit from the new found light. The results were beyond expectations! The job was completed professionally and all debris was removed as well as all areas were left very clean when the job was finished. SOLAR TUBES - JUST YES! This is our 4th house in a row that we've installed solar tubes to illuminate the inadvertant "caves" in our homes (See before and after pics attached). It's amazing how much brighter dark hallways are after these tubes are installed (includes solar night light in tube as well)... We are 100% believers! We met Steven at the Ford Center this past weekend and had him do the install this week. Great experience as he's a really nice guy, and he was done installing the tube in about an hour, so he's good at what he does as well! When we first started getting the tubes in the early 2000's, the full install was around $650... The price is now around $1000, but the transformation of those "home caves" is still very much worth it... Every now and then, one regrets a home upgrade, but I believe we have put in 9 total solar tubes and never regretted any of those installations... Well, I guess I wish we could have just moved the tubes from one house to another, but I'd suppose the buyers wouldn't have appreciated that much. 😉 Bottom line is that if you have an area in your home that needs light, Steven/Boise Skylight is a great choice to "get'er done"! ps. This is a family owned and run small business in the Boise area... Buy local!!!

Can say enough positive things based upon my experience and dealings with both Paul & Steven. In the midst of the Christmas holidays and approaching the weekend, i started noticing leaks around the area of the skylight entering into hallway area. I called Boise Skylight and got a return call within less than an hour. Paul was willing to come out on a weekend to assess the problem but we decided that since I already had resorted to placing a tarp over the skylight, we arranged for an appointment at a later day providing the weather elements permit. Steven was the installer, he came out and identified the problem; replaced the flashing and made other minor adjustments to prevent further water entry. I’m happy to report that there’s no further leaks. A shout out to this business for integrity, honesty, timeliness and overall professionalism.

What a great experience! I was dreading repairing my 27-year-old original Skylights at our home fearing having to tear apart my roof, etc., after we had some moisture in the old units. We hired Boise Skylight to install a skylight in one of our dark hallways. They came in gave a couple of options on placement and were competitively priced. They installed the skylight in an hour. It brought so much new light that we no longer needed lights during the day. When we asked Stephen if there was a way to “warm” up the light he offered a diffuser filter that works great! Boise Skylight is an amazing company! From my first phone call to inquire about a skylight, I was impressed with, even just over the phone, how nice Paul was. Then at our initial appointment for an estimate we met Paul and again felt that he was such a nice guy. We had to have another appointment to further investigate our roof, and Steven came with Paul. Steven was also super nice and friendly! We felt confident that we could trust them both and we hired them to install a skylight in our very dark kitchen. The skylight turned out even better than we had hoped it would! Paul and Steven did the work installing the skylight onto our roof and Joseph came and did the framing and drywall from the skylight on the roof into our kitchen ceiling. Steven installed three new lights in our kitchen as the skylight was placed where our only kitchen light used to be. Each of them did really great work! They were professional and they were very efficient in how they contained any mess, (actually they really weren’t messy at all!) But most importantly, their kindness and their friendliness really stood out to us. We enjoyed the process from beginning to end. Steven came back a few times to help us troubleshoot and set up the solar panel to get our skylight to open and he never made us feel like we were a bother. I own and operate a local roofing company, we needed a skylight that wasn’t a standard size, Boise Skylight was a pleasure to work with and helped me get the right one ordered. We ended up not needing some of the materials we added onto the order, and they returned them for us and sent a check for the refunded amount. Turns out I never cashed that check, Boise Skylight reached out months later when their bank informed them it had never been processed, and they had another one sent right away. Excellent work!! Very professional, excellent communication, and in general just experts when it comes to skylights and solar tubes! They were able to fix/repair all of recently installed skylights (including a custom skylight) by another contractor who really botched them all. I should have had Boise Skylights do the skylight installations in the first place!!

Once Steven was able to come out and expect my window, service was promptly scheduled and completed. I appreciated receiving a copy of the bid and warranty information prior to the installation. Installation timing was good as the wind gusts were starting as he was finishing up on my steep roof.

I had a whole house fan and a Sun Tunnel installed and Steven and Tracy were both very helpful and informative before and after the installation. I LOVE the Sun Tunnel Every time I walk into the room I think I forgot to turn off a light. Too cold to use the house fan but can't wait to crank it up when it warms up. The installation was completed quickly and Steven even cleaned up before he left. Idaho Power is offering a $200 rebate for the house fan and the IRS lets you write off 30% of the cost/installation of the Sun Tunnel. So it's a win-win! Highly recommend!!

We had Paul and Steven install skylights and a Sun Tunnel in our house. Paul went above and beyond in the beginning planning, as we have a fire suppression system we had to work around. He helped contact vendors and get quotes for us from various fire suppression companies. Once everything was approved he handled all the scheduling. He was great with communicating times and dates everyone would be working at our house. The skylights are amazing, they open our place up, and bring in much needed light. Beyond the work being impeccable, Paul and Steven were extremely lovely to work with. They are genuinely nice and caring people. Steven with Boise Skylight recently installed two sun tubes in a new addition to our house and we could not be happier with the results. From the first call they were professional and prompt, and also very accommodating with scheduling around both the roofers outside and the ceiling installers inside. Can't speak highly enough of Boise Skylight! A couple months after I bought my first home, Boise recorded the rainiest August in local history, and one of my skylights started leaking. I reached out to Boise Skylight via email to see how much a repair would cost. They very quickly responded, checked out the skylight, and gave me a thorough quote. I chose Boise Skylight because, in addition to giving me the best price and having great personable and professional service, they also offered a multiple year warranty on pretty much everything. When I reached out to Boise Skylight to schedule my repair, they informed me that, due to a clerical error, my skylight repair would actually cost more than they had originally quoted me. However, in the same breath, they told me they would honor my original quote. Very generous of them! Nothing was set in stone when I called to schedule, so they could've easily sent me the new quote and asked me to pay the higher price if decided to go with their business. My skylight was replaced earlier today, and everything went very smoothly! The replacement took less than two hours and had zero hiccups. Wanted to give a huge shout out to Boise Skylight & Solar Tube. I saw them at the home and garden show a couple weeks back and had them come give me a free quote last Friday, which was way less than I thought it would be. They are FAST and just installed my two Sun Tunnels today, MONDAY! Here is a before and after of my hallway and guest bathroom. Sun Tunnels make all of the difference and these guys did a wonderful job! LET THERE BE LIGHT!!

The master bath in my new (to me) home was like a dark cave. It is now bright with my new Sun Tunnel. The whole process from initial contact to completed job was 5 days. I am so happy with this purchase and with the service.

Boise skylight made an amazing transformation of our craft room. The huge 22 inch solar tube brings beautiful sunlight into a room with no windows. Fast, clean, on time install at a price Lowe than original bid. Even cleaned and vacuumed up after they ere done.

Steven and Phil came out to install our solar tubes. We have had Steven install a solar tube in our previous home and loved it so called him to give repeat business. The amount of light that the tubes let into dark rooms is amazing. These tubes included a solar light for a nighttime nightlight. They did a great installation job and we paid additional for the tubes to be insulated to prevent condensation during our cold winter temperatures. Highly recommend Steven's company!

The whole process was impressive. The crew was prompt, efficient and clean. I expected a lengthier process and more dust, but they installed 3 skylights in about 3 hours and left barely a trace. Best of all, I love the new daylight in my dark rooms and the nightlight glows of the solar lights. I highly recommend this company.

We couldn’t be happier with the work we had done by Boise Skylight! Both the skylight and solar tube we had done turned out perfectly and all aspects of the procedure we could tell were done to very high standards. We were informed when scheduling needed to change for any reason and things were always done very promptly. Both Paul and his son were very courteous and friendly. Also the pricing is very reasonable, which we found surprising in this time of fast rising costs.

I can not recommend this company enough! They were so kind, honest, and professional. I was having a horrible time finding someone local to fix my skylights and Paul even tried to offer advise/help so that I could save money by not having them travel to me. I gladly paid them to come to me so I could have quality work done that I could trust. They were in constant communication and so pleasant. Even told me my roof had much more life in it than another company had tried to convince me. I also feel the prices were very clear and fair and my quote matched the final invoice. They are amazing!

Boise Skylight's technician installed a 14" Sun Tunnel in our laundry room. The light this provides is more than I expected. Phil did a great job, easy to visit with, and I enjoyed learning how the tunnel was installed. Hopefully, no longer a need to leave the light on in the laundry room several hours a day.

Awesome experience. Called for a quote on 4 skylights and he was out in a heartbeat. The quote was for less then I had anticipated and they were ready to install the next day. The install was fast clean and non intrusive. I can't ever remember a transaction that went as smooth as this one. Better quality than I anticipated for less than I thought it would be and installed fast and clean. What's not to love! Highly recommended.

Called last Friday and they came out the same day to give me an estimate. They will be installing a solar Sun Tunnel this Friday. Can't ask for better response time. Hopefully will be as pleased with the product as with the installation!

Boise Skylight installed two attic fans at my residence and they did an amazing job! I am very happy with the work they did and from the very first phone call they were a pleasure to work with. My house is able to keep up with the toasty temps finally!

Same day estimate and same week install of my new hybrid attic fan in prep for record height temps coming. I took Paul’s recommendation and went with a hybrid fan so it runs off solar during the day and electric at night when needed. I could feel an instant temp difference in the bonus room upstairs. We can now use it all through the summer months comfortably. Couldn’t be happier with their quick, knowledgeable, and professional team. About 8 years ago Paul installed a skylight in my living room. He did excellent work then and his team does excellent work now too!

My solar tube is a great product effectively lighting up an otherwise dark and windowless kitchen. Everyone involved performed the work in a very professional manor including clean up once the installation was finished.

Paul and Phillip were awesome, start to finish. The actual install took less than two hours and generated very little mess. What little debris that was generated was cleaned up when the job was done. The new solar tube really lightens up our space, and we like knowing when there are clouds passing overhead.

Boise Skylight installed two solar tubes to brighten up the darkest corners of my dining room and hallway. I cannot believe how much light the tubes emit, but they do not heat up my house like a window or skylight and the diffusers soften the direct sunshine. Paul was great at explaining the process and listening to my needs when he came over to bid on the project, and Phil and Steven installed both solar tubes and cleaned up, including running a vacuum, in about two hours. No muss, no fuss, very reasonably priced, and so much more energy efficient. I highly recommend Boise Skylight!

Had my skylight installed in November and is doing great. Install was good but a bit of a scramble getting the drywall guy to show up with some missed appointments. Paul and his son are great at getting back to you if issues arise and the tax credit was very accurate. When doing taxes make sure to state that the project was solar, not just a skylight to get the full credit. (Assuming you get the solar blinds added) Overall very pleased with the purchase!

What Paul told us about the Solar Tubes was right on! It brightened our family area like he said it would. We don't need lamps on during the day now! The night lights give that area a warm glow so we can quit using the other plug in night lights. It was a clean and fast installation. Thank you Boise Skylight and Solar Tube!!!!!

I am so very impressed with Boise Skylight!! We had a skylight tube installed a few weeks ago by another contractor we got referred to by Home Depo. He charged 2 1/2 times as much as Boise Skylight and took 4 hours ( 3 people working). Boise Skylight took 1 hour. Steve the installer was punctual, very friendly and professional. When I asked Steve to come back to have a solar collector, battery and light installed in the tube we had installed by the other contractor it was scheduled immediately and completed the very next business day and we only had to pay the price of the part. Thank you Paul and Steve! We absolutely love our new skylights!
