We had Laureyn and her team replace a nearly 35 year old Velux skylight that had finally failed with a "Fresh Air" solar powered venting skylight. Laureyn's team did a great job! They arrived on time, explained what they were going to do and kept us updated throughout the installation. Once installation was complete, Andrew from Laureyn's team went over the operation of the skylight remotes (venting and solar shade) with us and made sure we were completely happy with the whole installation. When the team had finished cleaning up, you couldn't even tell they were ever there!

We had a local roofer re-shingle our home a couple of years ago. As part of that project he installed a new Velux roof window that we provided. The mistake we made was assuming that any roofer could also install a skylight or roof window correctly . Long story short….. they made a mess of it, which resulted in an installation that voided the Velux warranty, and likely would have led to future problems/leaks. Fortunately, at some point we connected with Synergy Skylights and Roofing. The partners (Laureyn and Nick) inspected the bad installation and came up with a plan to correct the issues, bringing it back into warranty condition. They had to remove and reinstall it completely. At the same time they trimmed out the interior of the window and installed a factory Velux shade. Every part of the process was perfect, and now I don’t cringe as I walk down the stairs and glance at that skylight 😁. It was one of the best construction type experiences we’ve ever had. The lesson we learned from this experience was that when it comes to skylights, use a specialist. If it’s not done right, it can ruin your entire project. Our experience makes it very easy to recommend Synergy Skylights and Roofing. You won’t regret it.

We've been living with our new skylights for about a month now and we couldn't love them more!!! We got the solar powered ones with the integral shades, and they make such a difference! I don't know how we lived here for 20 years without them. Our old skylights leaked badly and had completely inadequate shades. Two of the shades we couldn't even open and one we couldn't close. We're very interested to see how much cooler the house is in the summer, just by being able to close the shades during the day and open the skylights for ventilation at night. We're confident we won't need to use the AC as much. Our new skylights were installed in December so we thought we'd have to wait until spring to see what it's like to have skylights that don't leak, but nature had other plans. Within a week we had a rainstorm that brought more than 2.5 inches of rain in a day....without a leak in sight! We put the project off for so long, partly because the whole thing seemed very daunting, but the process with Synergy couldn't have been easier. Laureyn and Nick were great to work with. Laureyn was always available to answer our questions and Nick and the crew were courteous, friendly and did a spectacular job. The largest standard skylight available still didn't fit the opening of our old skylights, so Nick and co framed them in to fit so we didn't have to pay for custom sized skylights. I can't even imagine what that would have cost. We just wish Synergy offered other services besides roofing and skylights. It's not easy to find contractors you can trust. We would have them back here for all of our projects. We couldn't recommend them more highly.

HIGHLY recommend them! Laureyn returned my email immediately to set up an appointment. She arrived on time with a full working skylight for us to see. She was informative and not pushy. They ordered the skylights and gave us a tentative install week and they were earlier than expected. Install day was a breeze it was completed in 5 hours they were all respectful of our house and floors removing their shoes every time they entered even though we said not necessary! Nick showed us the new roofing tiles and how the color wasn’t a complete match ( Laureyn warned us) he had the big roofing tile which he thought was a match and a small swatch of one that I felt matched better so he called Laureyn and had her bring them. He then went up on the roof with both tiles to show me and let me choose what I thought matched best… if you look closely you can tell but barely and I’m anal! Work area inside and out was cleaned immaculately. Would definitely use them again and recommend to everyone!

I would give them 500 stars if I could. Here is what happened. We had 40 year old skylights that began to leak. This was the week before Christmas. Laureyn basically came right out the next day, gave us an amazing quote to replace 5 skylights, we agreed to the price and told her we were getting our kitchen remodeled and needed this done asap. By some miracle she called a couple of days later and said they could do the job a couple of days later on the Saturday before Xmas. The skylights are beautiful and her entire team did a fantastic job. They even matched our 5 year old shingles so well that you'd never know it happened. Save yourself the trouble and don't even think about looking somewhere else for a quote. You are not going to deal with a better company than Synergy Skylights and Roofing.

Working with Synergy Skylights and Roofing was terrific from start to finish. We were given Synergy Skylights’s name by Velux when we decided to replace our skylights. Laureyn contacted us right away, came to see what we needed, educated us about the options to choose among, showed us how the new skylights would work, told us how to take advantage of the tax credits that make a huge difference now, managed the schedule and details of the order (including being super patient when we changed our minds on a few things), and made the selection process incredibly easy. The installation team came when they said they would. They were efficient, considerate, incredibly tidy, and worked together beautifully. Once the skylights were installed, they set up the remote controllers for us, instructed us on how to use them, and answered all our questions. They did superior work AND were a pleasure to work with.

Could not recommend Synergy more; from quote to installation they were flawless. I got quotes from 3 companies and decided it did not even matter how the pricing came in, Synergy was most organized and thorough and were the ones for the job. As it turns out their pricing did happen to be competitive and lower than the other two quotes, but again would've gone with them anyways. Laureyn also talked me through getting a solar powered skylight which will be a big tax deductible, the other companies never mentioned this option.

What did I like about Synergy? EVERYTHING I was contacted within hours of my request for a quote. Looking at the job was scheduled within 2 days. Estimate was received promptly. Crew arrived at the time scheduled and immediately got to work. Everyone knew their job. They worked efficiently. Original Velux skylights lasted 30+ years. Very happy they work with Velux windows. Outside and inside finish work was top notch. Everything was explained very well by Laureyn, Nick & Andrew and the Energy Tax Credit was a bonus. When I need a new roof they will be my 1st call.

We decided to go with Synergy partially based on their reviews but most importantly, the impression i got after they stopped by to look at the skylights. The discussion was strictly about what the new ones could and could not do, the advantages solar powered ones (we ended up getting those), and a lot of time on what may go wrong with matching the color of the roof. Very open and honest discussion. The installation took about 5 hours and at the end, they even used a magnet to pick up nails from the side of the house. The place was left impeccably clean; The installers were very courteous and professional and respectful towards the property. Hats off to them. You don't need to bother calling anyone else. Synergy Skylights is the best! Laureyn comes by first to help you determine the best product for your needs, and provide an estimate. She explains everything clearly and thoroughly and is incredibly knowledge. She's all about the physics of air flow! Nick follows up for the installation and his work is impeccable. A few months after the installation, I thought I was having an issue with them and he and a partner came back, did some diagnostic work, and provided additional insulation at no charge for their materials or labor, despite not being able to replicate the issues that I had been having. Turns out, the problem was a window and not the skylight! Nick spent time with me problem solving the situation to try and figure it out. He went above and beyond what most companies would have done. They truly care about their customers. Prices were very reasonable when I compared them to other companies. I wish I needed more skylights because I'd love to give them more business!

In July 2022, we bought an 1890 colonial just a block from Natick center and needed to replace 5 skylights and add another in the kitchen. I spent a good week researching companies, but all were either too big/expensive or too small/mixed quality. Synergy was an excellent blend of quality, price and professionalism. Within a few days of reaching out, Laureyn came by to demo some of the skylight options in person. We discussed features, proper sizing and placement, as well as the amazing tax credits which we received this year (roughly 30% cash back, actually). Along the way, discussions were made together to modify existing plans to suit our needs, all within a very reasonable extra cost (or none at all). They also worked very well with plasterers that we had that took over the inside sheetrock and closure once the skylights were framed in and sealed. Highly recommend!

I got multiple estimates and synergy was not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. I went with them as they were reasonable and lauryn the owner came to our house very prepared and professional and explained exactly what needed to be done as our skylights were old and our area needed to be rebuilt in order for the new skylights to fit correctly. I felt very comfortable with Lauryn from the beginning as I knew she knew what she was doing. She also brought in her partner and he was just as knowledgeable and professional. One of the best upgrades I've purchased for my house. I had a old skylight that I was worried about and I got the version that can open and has a movable blind on it. I've been using it for over a year now and I just am very glad I did It helps the air exchange in my house very well. They were recommended by my neighbor who had it done. And working with Laureyn to demo the skylight and what I wanted for my skylight. Overall the installation was great. The team was quick and efficient, clean and just great to work with. I have recommended to several of my neighbors who have now gotten their skylights done by Synergy.

I’m retired now, but began my adult working life as a carpenter, then a builder, fortunate enough to specialize in high end residential construction, so I know of what I speak. These people are as good as it gets !!! From the initial contact through the final clean-up everything about Synergy Skylights and Roofing is professional, detail oriented, and quality focused. Our roof, although not especially large, included replacing 6 skylights and is a fairly complex mix of interconnected planes, including one almost flat section with buried heating elements that required special care. Everything about the way the job proceeded was the same high quality, focused work. On a scale of 1– 10 of quality Laureyn, Nick and their crew rank a 12+ !!!

Synergy skylights replaced 4 skylights and the roof that surrounded them on the north side of my home. Both the skylights and roof were 26 years old. They did a very good job at a reasonable price. I contacted 3 of the 4 firms that were recommended to me. All three came to my home to see the roof and skylights and explain what they would do. Laureyn was very knowledgeable about the process during our initial phone call. She explained a lot of the changes to skylights since mine were installed over 25 years ago. My first thought was to try to fix the leaks. She explained about the lifespan of a skylight. When I remembered that my roof was 26 years old it seemed like the best plan would be to replace all the skylights and the roof. It was all done in one day. I had confidence in her knowledge of the products and process. She came to my house, saw the existing setup and suggested units to match. My existing units were hard wired to open the window and operate the blinds. She suggested room darkening blinds for the cathedral ceiling family room. All the windows would open through solar powered batteries. This would then be eligible for a federal solar tax credit. Laureyn measured all the windows and had samples of both the windows and blinds to show me. It was easy to coordinate the schedule with Laureyn, arrange for delivery of supplies, and work out the contract and payments. Nick arrived on the agreed day of installation, arranged for drop cloths under the skylights that were to be replaced. The work was completed in a day. Cleanup was very good. Their crew took off their shoes whenever they came into my home. Everyone was easy to work with. I recommend Synergy to anyone to replace their skylights and roof.

We replaced two existing skylights (>25 years old) that started leaking and had a thermal seal failure. Best decision I made was going with Synergy Skylights. Laureyn is extremely responsive and knowledgeable about the skylight industry. She was even able to find shingles to our roof that had been discontinued for a perfect match. She was available to answer any and all questions, provide a detail estimate and was able to complete the job ahead of schedule. Nick her business partner was equally amazing. We've had our new skylights for almost a month now and absolutely love them. The remote controls are truly a godsend. Our skylights are now functional; we hadn't opened the old ones in years. We love the built in shades; they really help shade the front room which gets belted with the sun in the late afternoon. We should have done this sooner!
