We had 7 Velux skylights installed on a steep roof: 5 were fully remote operated open/close w/full blackout and 2 were manually operated open/close but w/remote controlled blackouts. All remote open/close were battery operated. Seems to be great products so far and network s/w works well. Installers were excellent and did a great job to make us happy. I would easily recommend them for the work.

Used this company to replace the old-school 1986-installed, dome skylights in our living room and above the stairwell. (we could feel the wind blow in the winter, and the living room felt like a sauna in the summer). We were impressed with how fast someone was able to come out to give us an estimate-and he was honest and thorough in explaining our options and different-priced options. (He also didn't try to upsell us! Zero pressure!) We had gotten a few other estimates, and this one was much better priced, (one skylight was "custom fit" but they seemed to have more options for how to do it). The installers were fast, efficient, and cleaned up everything afterwards. We didn't have any issues or questions, but the office team was great about checking in throughout the process as well. We already have a VERY noticeable difference in the temperature in the main level of our house, and are looking forward to it showing up in our a/c and heating bills.

My living room skylight broke during a terrible hail storm at the end of May. I first called a competitor, and they quoted me $500 more than Skylight Specialists. I an old cracked dome skylight that was water to come in to my ceiling and wall. The dimensions of my skylight were kind of unique. David A. set up my initial consultation and took a deposit for the fabrication of the skylight. About a month later, Nick and Carlos showed up to my house at 7:30am and completed the job by 10:30am. Our 1983 built home had the original dome shaped acrylic skylights that allowed for great sunlight to pour in to our top floor, but they were seriously inefficient - allowing heat to escape in winter and creating almost a greenhouse effect in summer. Allison was great in explaining what products would help with this problem. She came out to evaluate our windows and how her team could access the roof for replacement skylights. The installation team was very impressive -thorough, tidy, very respectful of their work space and our home. They completed all three windows in one day and my family noticed the difference immediately. Our central AC is no longer competing with the heat generated by those dome windows. And on cooler nights the remote controlled windows immediately allow extra heat to quickly escape. The climate control and energy efficiency of these windows makes me wish we had done this last summer, but grateful we didn’t wait another year before investing in this upgrade. We recently had Skylight Specialists install a 2’x4’ Velux skylight in our kitchen, which was dark in the morning. The results were transformational; the area is now bathed in light and far more pleasant than it had been. Our experience with Skylight Specialists was top quality from our first contact to job completion. All employees were friendly, concerned, and helpful. The skylight and the newly constructed shaft are beautiful. Most importantly, there was a glitch in the installation that needed to be addressed. Skylight Specialists was on it immediately. No excuses, no delays, just prompt fair treatment. To me, that is the true measure of a good company—do they admit to and remedy problems. Skylight Specialists passed this test with flying colors, and we will confidently do business with them in the future.

What a terrific experience from start to finish. Skylight Specialists showed up right on time to give us an estimate, and they worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. Turns out my current skylight was old and parts are no longer available (verified). My rep put together a justification letter for the insurance company that a new skylight was needed and was approved. A installation date was set up and the skylights were installed as promised. The installation team went above and beyond to help me by carefully removing screens I had stapled against the old skylights. I was expecting an ugly drywall mess but the team did such a great job, I can’t see any issue now and they did this at no additional charge. From the Salesperson to the Techs, this was a wonderful experience. All were professional and friendly. Caden and Jared were the techs and worked non-stop to get it just right which wasn’t an easy job as it was difficult getting the sun-tubes to fit between the joists. They replaced 4 old 12” tubes with 14” tubes. Jared came back the following day as he was determined to make it perfect and worked for hours to achieve this goal. It’s not always pleasant working with contractors but the people at Skylights Specialists make it easy! I highly recommend this company!

Skylight Specialists are incredible. We had a complex job of replacing five panels all of differing shapes in a house on a mountain-side. From our initial call with Devin, to the advice from Mark, to the install led by Nick, the work was impeccable. Despite custom everything, they got the job done quickly and before the season change. Our experience with Skylight Specialists was exemplary from start to finish! Nicole visited and inspected our roof & 35 year-old skylights the morning after my call to the office. She accurately assessed our needs and confidently assured me that their team had the expertise to replace our special order skylights on our (concrete) tile roof. Thankfully, they also did all they could to expedite our order/installation - one skylight was badly damaged due to wind, the other was leaking due to bad flashing. I had Skylight Specialties replace 4 skylights at my home in the mountains. They sent four solid craftsmen and exceeded my expectations. I was concerned that they would have to rip off a bunch of shingles and put on some mis-matched shingles, but they neatly pulled back the existing ones and replaced them perfectly. This crew was careful, very consciousness, and happy to answer all my questions and concerns. I will recommend they if anyone I know wants to replace or add skylights to their home in the future.
