We've had an issue with our skylights leaking ever since (oddly enough) we had a new roof put in. Apparently, our old skylights just couldn't handle the strain of being removed and then put back. Anyway, Max was prompt to return my call for an estimate, and upfront about his pricing. I had some lower estimates, but they were for bare-bones work, and I would have had to add on for work needed on the roof, remote blinds, etc. Max actually came out, looked at the skylights, examined the roof, and really listened to us when we explained the problems and what we wanted.(Aside from the leaking, we were also waaay too hot in the summer with the plastic dome skylights) Max gave us solutions that we didn't even know to ask for, and sent us a written estimate within a day or two. I'm really glad we decided to have him do the job! He was clean, professional, quick, and did a much better job at installing the skylights than the original installers. (The original skylights had no kind of slope or curb to divert rain - hence the leaking.) The price was the price - no nickel-and-dime price increases for this or that. Above all the new skylights are beautiful, and the remote blinds were part of the very fair quoted price, not an add-on feature. (I didn't even know blinds for skylights were a thing!) I wish I had a picture of the old ones to show the contrast. They were yellowing from the exposure to sunlight, but these new ones are glass, LowE to only allow light rather than heat in, and he fixed the area around the skylights on the roof by installing proper sloping curbs so water won't pool and/or leak into our living room. If you’re looking for a company to do your skylights or replace skylights you already have, hire Max! I’m so glad I came across his company. We have 2 skylights in our home that were installed decades ago (not by Max) and we were looking to replace them for heat, uv control. Max was thorough, gave us ideas/options, but the part that really made us want to use his company for the job is because he was honest. He went on the roof and checked both skylights. He told us that we didn’t necessarily need to replace one of the skylights because it was fine. So he suggested we only replace one. He gave us a very reasonable quote a few days later and the entire time communicated with us to keep us informed on the process, pricing and timing of when the skylight would come in. When he arrived he brought the skylight (it’s perfect!) and his coworker. They were clean, pretty quick and so kind. We will definitely be using them again!

Skylight construction just replaced our decade-old acrylic skylight with a bronze cleared glass skylight today. Max is very fast at replying my call or message. I sent an email on Friday and was surprised when Max contacted me on Saturday. Max came out to Corona on the following Monday to determine the size of the skylight and sent the proposal that night. Max let me know when the skylight was ordered, when it arrived, and then called to schedule the installation in a couple of days. We replaced 37 yr old skylights that were terrible at heat gain, and actually increased the temperature in the house. We chose to get Velux Solar powered flat glass skylights that open and have shades for the hottest days of the year. Interviewed three companies, and Max has by far the best approach and listens to what you want. His price is very fair and he is very knowledgeable. One company wanted us to do retrofit work on the ceiling on the inside for several thousands of dollars. Another said to get a custom size skylight and wanted to charge a ridiculous price. Geez. Completely unnecessary. Max solved the problem with our bigger skylight by using 2 square standard size skylights and created a modified curb to deal with it. Looks great on the inside and out. Max and his worker were very careful and did a fabulous job. I highly recommend using his company. BTW, what I didn't realize was the flat glass skylights give you a beautiful view of the sky and the clouds. Never had that before. AND, what a huge difference in the heat gain inside the house. We open the skylights at night and a window on the 1st floor. The air flow is fabulous. Our house is about 5-8 degrees cooler all day.
