Highly recommend for anyone looking to get a new roof! Communication was great leading up to installation day, and they got it done in 11 hours! Will be going back for future work.
-
They went out of their way to repair are roof. Repair man was professional and informative.
-
Very professional, high-quality work with genuineness.
-
This past September, Koontz Roofing replaced my old roof. They have recently done several new roofs in my neighborhood. Every homeowner I contacted was totally pleased with the price and quality of their work. I can now say the same. Koontz Roofing did a great job. They are courteous and professional in every way. I highly recommend them.
-
Koontz did a thorough, excellent job replacing wood panels, vinyl siding and roofing. They came in way ahead of their own predicted timeline and we were very pleased with their work.
-
This is the third time I've used Koontz Construction for a job. They replaced my roof and gutters and did a wonderful job from start to finish. Professional, friendly, and great workmanship. I would highly recommend this company.
-
We decided on Koontz Construction Company for our new roof due to high recommendation from a trusted friend. We are glad we did from the initial visit of the sales person to the quality and efficiencies of the staff and the quality of the product. We were very pleased with the price and the outcome.
-
After calling 2 different roofing companies and not getting anywhere, I called Koontz. They immediately got me on the schedule. When Adam (estimator) came out he went above and beyond to ensure my roof was in top shape. He was, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I should have called Koontz first, I won't make that mistake again.
-
Koontz did an amazing job replacing our roof and guttering. They made the whole process easy and stress free. Our house looks great and we’re so thankful for the work they did!!
-
They did such a gorgeous job with our rather steep and challenging roof and for a good price! So glad I chose them.
-
Star at Starlight Roofing is professional and friendly. Recommend!
-
Koontz did a major renovation for us recently. Everything went so smooth. (We even had to add work (insulation) at the very last minute). We are extremely pleased with the work, the crews and love the outcome. A++
-
We just had Koontz replace our roof and gutters. We couldn’t be happier. I was particular in what I was looking for in a roof replacement and I’m happy they use a premium product in Malarkey. The crews have been great. Communication has been great. Highly recommend!
-
Great company. Fair prices. I needed my roof repaired and they discovered additional damage. Did a fantastic job replacing and repairing what was needed.
-
The work was done quickly and effectively. I appreciated the communication between the supervisor and myself for keeping me informed about progress. I highly recommend Koontz Roofing & Exterior Construction.
-
We had Koontz fix storm damage to our house (Siding, Gutters, Soffits, Fascia, and two Windows). We chose Koontz because they could replace both the siding and the windows that were damaged. Compared to some of the other Vendors, Koontz is a bit more expensive, but based on experience of the crew that came out for Koontz compared to a different Vendor, the Koontz crew was more professional, did a better job of cleaning up the removal debris and scrap, and had a project manager come out to inspect the work each day.
-
Koontz construction replaced all 6 of my windows in my condo. They were not standard size and offered multiple options for replacement windows. There was a hiccup with the manufacturer building the wrong window, but Koontz communicated that with me and got the installation perfect in the end. They cleaned up great and made clear what was happening. It took 3 days in total, which was expected (with the last window being built). All the crews were wonderful and they were very polite and great to talk to! I am incredibly happy with their great work and it was worth the upgrade! I can already tell the difference temperature wise and I am extremely excited to open them in the spring / summer. I highly recommend them for window replacements!!!
-
Called and ask for a quote had one in no time. Nate walk me through the quote and the rest is history. Koontz construction is a class act and has there stuff together. I will continue to do business. The crew that came to our home as Awesome. Good experience. 👍

We recently hired Koontz to fulfill our new vision for our 1980s modern ranch, and we could not be more pleased with the results. Ricardo met with us several times on site and listened carefully to understand the look we wanted to achieve. He answered our many questions professionally and was patient as we made our material choices and requested changes after seeing his mockups of the project. Once we had our plan together, Brandon took charge of organizing the subs who would do the heavy construction and siding replacement. He shared a detailed list of what we should expect during the project and how to prepare our home for the coming weeks of construction. With the exception of a few unexpected delays due to weather, his timeline was spot on. Once our materials arrived, phenomenal construction team of Adam, Adam, and JD arrived to install our new windows and front door. They were always respectful of our home and ran a safe and clean jobsite. We are so pleased with the new windows and door, and how those changes improved the curb appeal of our home. Next the five members of the siding crew began the next phase of the project by replacing our existing siding with stone veneer and new siding. Each morning, they arrived on time and worked in a speedy, but careful efficient manner. They followed our complex siding plan to the letter, and we cannot stress enough their attention to detail and the pride they took in making our home look its best. When we asked for a change (a support post needed to be wrapped), Brandon and the team accommodated our request without hesitation. The gutter team built our new gutters onsite and installed them so quickly, we barely knew they were on the jobsite. When we were curious about how they built the gutters, they were kind enough to take the time to show us how their siding break worked. It was evident they also took pride in their work and enjoyed showing us their tradecraft. Again, we could not be happier with the outcome of the work the Koontz team did for us. We feel as if we have a brand-new home.
-
These guys are top notch! They did a new build siding and stone job for me. They went above and beyond to meet the schedule dates and did a fantastic job. Kudos to your team. They cleaned up job site every day before they left. It is hard to find a business with this type of integrity.

I loved meeting with Phillip to determine the best fix for my problem. He was knowledgeable and professional. The estimate was reasonable and the work completed thoroughly. I have used Koontz in the past and each time I have the same opinion, they are the best around!
-
Everything about the process was seamless! We set up the quote, made our selection and had a new roof within a few weeks. The crew was quick and the yard was left very clean. Highly recommend!
-
Full siding, gutter replacement and several miscellaneous additions performed and we were thrilled with the professionalism and work completed. Josh , and crew were a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend!
-
We had severe hail damage to our home this summer (softball size). Insurance paid for everything but what was nice Koontz came in under the estimate at $28,000 compared to $32,000 to roof house, garage, barn with a class 4 shingle. Insurance company was quoting a class 3. Not only did we get a new roof but also a better roof than what we had. The team that did the work were fantastic. Worked over 12 hours days and cleaned up each day after their work. Great company to work with.
-
Very impressed with this company! Nate was very helpful explaining everything and was quick providing the estimate. The crew members who installed my new roof were polite, efficient and professional. Highly recommend!!
-
Nate was awesome to work with. From beginning to the completion.
-
I went with Koontz for a new roof, fascia repair, and new gutters. Koontz did a wonderful job with the project over two days. Before hiring them for the job, Nate at Koontz took the time to explain what my options were on the new roof and how to fix some issues that were caused by poor gutter installation when my house was originally built. Once we made decisions on how to proceed, the Koontz team was efficient in getting the work done, and the final results look great. There was no pressure at all throughout the process, and their customer service was great. I can't recommend them enough.
-
Very responsive communication, strong workmanship, and thorough clean-up. I would definitely use Koontz Construction again.
-
Small job replacing wood lap siding from the 50's, matched existing. Excellent job , hard working employees. Would definitely use again!
-
Following the inspection and purchase of our new home, Koontz replaced our roof. Nate was a great communicator and kept me informed of each step of the process. The old roof was removed and the entire roof was replaced in one day. Following the replacement Nate even completed the form that was required to get a lower premium on my homeowners insurance. I would highly recommend Koontz for all your roofing needs, you won't be disappointed.
-
Koontz Roofing replaced a broken skylight. Besides the skylight they diagnosed a leak in another location. Very professional from the initial estimate where they spent ample time inspecting the flashing and transition from one roof to a flat roof. James was a careful craftsman. His cleanup was complete to a high standard.
-
Had competent friendly treatment from start to finish, from Cara on the telephone, to Phillip (I believe) who did made the bid on gutter removal and replacement with 6" new gutters, the crew who listened to my concerns patiently and worked knowledgeably and carefully, and the follow-up calls to take care of last minute details. The work was completed on time, for the exact price quoted on the bid, despite the need to make a couple follow-up trips, I would recommend Koontz happily and wholeheartedly to anyone asking. Bravo!
-
From beginning to end our experience with Koontz Roofing & Construction was top notch! Nate did a great job of explaining our options and the benefits of each roofing shingle option. The construction crew was an absolute delight! In two days our old roof was removed, new roof put on, and the yard was impeccable after they completed clean up. After the roof was done, Cara, the office manager, was quick to complete a form for our insurance agent. Highly recommend Koontz! We will use this company again.
-
We recently had our roof & gutters repaced after significant tornado damage from last spring. I was very happy with the job Koontz did. They were quick to complete the roof in a couple of days. When we had some minor conerns, they responded in a timely manner and got everthing resolved.
-
Koontz put a new roof on our home. They did a great job and we are very happy with their workmanship.
-
Couldn’t be happier with our experience with Koontz! They added a window to our house and did a wonderful job! All the workers we met were very professional and knowledgeable!
-
Roofing, siding and window replacement for several projects. All done well and on time.
-
Our neighbors and ourselves hired Koontz to replace the roof on our shared wall condo in NW Bloomington based on excellent references from our neighbors. The project was executed with excellent performance. The roofing crew was a well choreographed machine, working efficiently with nobody standing around. As work on the roof itself was winding down, the available crew members did a wonderful job of cleaning up the debris from the ground. We are completely pleased with the work performed and will not hesitate to recommend Koontz to others.
-
I 100% recommend Koontz roofing. They did a tremendous job. Put the roof on in one day. The roof held up all winter and is still going strong. A wind storm recently dropped a huge branch on it, and there wasn’t a scratch on it. I don’t hand out five stars unless I absolutely mean it. The price was totally reasonable. Zero complaints. They were nice people, too.
-
Koontz put new gutters on my home. Iam very well pleased with the workmanship, efficiency and courtesy of the cew. They finished on time and did a thorough clean up. When it's new roof time, Koontz will be my choice.
-
Koontz Construction did an amazing job on stripping and replacing my roof just a few weeks ago. Nate Koontz, might I add a very handsome man, took very good care of me. He was knowledgeable in all my questions and concerns. He led me through the process of choosing the proper materials for my needs. The work crew was fast and hardworking, getting my roof stripped and shingles in a day and a half. Great crew and company!
-
My siding looks great! The crew worked quickly and efficiently. There were a couple of issues, but they were quickly remedied. I enjoyed working with Nate to coordinate with the insurance and get the project completed. Thanks to all of the Koontz personnel! Ginger Musselman
-
I highly recommend this business. My wife was considering a new roof. Nathan came by and gave us excellent money-saving alternatives. Nathan is VERY knowledgeable, and completely transparent and honest. Nathan will fully assess your situation and give clear and understandable explanations. The quote contract was also clear, honest, and understandable. We received a breadth of options for the gutter upgrades, and Koontz was always more than willing to answer any questions we had before we made our decision. It is clear that Koontz cares about their business, professionalism, and work. We took up his recommendation of just getting upgrades for our gutters. His workers were very efficient and did excellent work. Anytime you need gutter work done- Koontz should be the first and only choice.
-
Very professional, friendly, very good communication, finished job in a timely manner, highly recommend.
-
Fast and handled all problems before and after roof replacement.
-
Very professional and quick to respond to our problem.
-
My roof had a small leak, and I had a tight time frame. Koontz sent out an experienced estimator to assess our needs. He communicated with me effectively to get me scheduled. The repairs were done seamlessly, and the site was thoroughly cleaned afterward. Would definitely recommend.
-
Had new gutters installed. Very pleased.
-
We are very satisfied with the quality of work. The clean up was very good. The roofers worked very hard. We are more than happy with our new roof.
-
Koontz roofing company did a good job on my roof replacement. They came in a timely manner with no delays. The roof looks good, my neighbor commented on the color selection that Chandler helped with. It seems to have done the trick. I haven’t noticed any leaks , which is why I had it replaced.
-
The guys at Koontz did a great job on a new roof for us for a competitive price. Really took their time to repair all the damages wood underneath. I would definitely use them again.
-
Koontz Construction's job supervisor, Julio Reyes, really cares about the quality of work his crew completes. You cannot go wrong with Koontz Construction as a roofing contractor.
-
I am a local contractor and have used Koontz on many of my projects. Great communicators, timely, and high quality. Will always use them for siding, windows, and all of my exterior needs.
-
I used Koontz Roofing and Construction to put on new siding for my studio and they were very efficient and very reasonably priced. Thank you for another job well done.
-
Koontz Roofing and Exterior is the best local roofing contractor around. They are always so friendly and courteous when it comes to setting up a time to give you an estimate. Once you decide to go through with their company, they take care of everything and are very precise on making everything perfect for the homeowner.
-
The folks at Koontz Roofing are very friendly and easy to work with. Their pricing was very competitive with other companies who gave us bids on our projects. Work crews were friendly and did nice work.
-
These guys are fantastic. We had a tree fall through the roof of the house. We contacted Koontz after a random Google search and they showed up right away for an estimate. Nate Koontz was professional and forthcoming with information. They finished the work in short order and best of all they stayed on budget! I hope I won't need them again, but if another emergency crops up I know who I'm going to turn to. In the meantime, for general maintenance, repairs and upgrades I'm kalling Koontz!
-
Koontz Construction replaced my roof and three skylights. They worked hard from morning to mid-afternoon and did a splendid job. The price was very satisfactory and I highly recommended them.
-
Thank you Koontz Construction! Everyone we dealt with from start to finish on our roof replacement was kind, courteous and helpful.
-
Awesome job on the roof, at a great price. Highly recommend!!
-
Great team to work with.
-
Initially they gave me a storm damage estimate, and made a good impression, but another company did the work for that job. I was in a flurry! When another roof issue came up, I decided to try Koontz rather than the other company, which was not completely local as I later found. Sometimes the larger corporate outfits are not so good in some ways. These guys at Koontz are nice and smart and they are local and responsive to the customer. I would definitely employ them again. It is important to have trust in one's roof!
-
-
Their gutter crew replaced a small section of gutters damaged by another contractor's roofing work. After failing to get satisfaction from the roofing contractor, I contacted Koontz. They did an amazing job at a reasonable price! I will definitely use Koontz again.
-
I was starting to get water damage from old gutters. I was so impressed with how quickly Koontz was able to do an estimate, get my project scheduled, and complete the project. In addition, they were incredible professional and left my house cleaner than when they arrived. They did an excellent job and I highly recommend using Koontz Roofing (I wish I could say the same for other contractors I have used). Thank you Koontz and bravo!
-
Koontz replaced the ridgeline on my roof after damage from a severe windstorm. They went out of their way to communicate clearly and get the project done quickly and efficiently. They even repaired some damage by a raccoon or other critter to the flashing around the chimney at no extra cost!
-
-
They replaced a ridge cap on my roof. Price was very reasonable, and they were honest about recommended fixes after a competitor tried to upsell a full roof replacement. They were able to see me ahead of schedule and the work only took a few hours. No more leaks- very pleased.
-
Working with Koontz Roofing was such a pleasant experience! They were always prompt, courteous, professional, and highly skilled in the work they did for me, which was a roofing job with the installation of a skylight. I couldn’t have been more pleased. The crew, on one of the hottest days we had this summer, kept going into the evening to finish the job. The price seemed fair, and everyone I had occasion to speak with was clearly committed to making my experience a positive one. It was!
-
Our roof gutters were damaged by a storm in Jun. Koontz replaced and upgraded the gutters in a fairly timely manner. They did the work at a fair cost and cleaned up well. Importantly, they did not try to sell me on unnecessary gadgets and work.
-
Koontz replaced my leaky skylights which had begin to damage my roof and did an EXCELLENT job in the worst heat we've experienced this year. They are professional and courteous and describe in detail their estimates of what will be done. I highly recommend them!
-

-
Koontz replaced all of our siding and shutters. They were knowledgeable and honest, and the work they did looks great.
-
I had the exterior windows (5)replaced in my condo this Spring. Working with the Koontz staff was very satisfying. I received an estimate for the job with comprehensive details about the work to be done. The price as fair and I accepted the bid. The windows were installed approximately 6 weeks later on May 29-31. The workers were very professional, considerate of the interior spaces in my condo when installing each window. The clean-up that they provided at the completion of the job was excellent! I would not hesitate to used this company again. i I have recommended them to my friends.
-
Thank you Team Koontz! In addition to the great work completed (over and above), the assistance with understanding the insurance process was huge for me! Could not have partnered with a better team.
-
Great communication from Phil. Listened to our concerns and made sure the previous issues were corrected. Team was efficient as well.
-
I was referred to Koontz by a local builder after 2 trees fell on the corner of my house (damaging a portion of the roof and gutters). Josh came as soon as he could to assess the damage. Extremely pleased with the completion time and quality of work, as well as the cost. Highly recommend and will use them in the future if needed!
-
We had a leaky window and another contractor recommended Koontz, since we needed someone who could pull off the siding to identify the source of the leak. Brandon came out and did find some water damage around the window frame and assured us that they could help with the situation. When the team came to install the new window, they found significant rot and also some structural issues - more than anyone anticipated - across the full south side of our home. We had to pivot quickly to navigate several changes to the project and Koontz helped with that. They coordinated work well with our other contractor, as structural issues and termite damage were addressed. Long story short: the Koontz project went from replacing one window and some framing, to installing flashing over a rubber roof, four new windows and a new sliding door, and replacing the siding. Then we decided to replace the gutters in order to avoid future water damage as well. Our installation team was wonderful - Mike and Adam demonstrated a strong work ethic and genuine care for us and our home. They cleaned up their worksite with every visit. We had a little problem with our new sliding door and they were out quickly to address it. Estimates for the work were all in line; communication was good from start to finish. I recommend Koontz without hesitation.
-
Excellent service. Fast and efficient. Exactly what we needed!
-
I contacted several companies for quotes for storm damage to my roof, gutters, downspouts, shutters, and porch columns. Koontz Construction could repair it all instead of managing several contractors, and they worked well with my insurance company. Everything is now done and I am very happy with the completed work. I would highly recommend them for your work.
-
Arrived early and prepared our yard for the tear off. Had old roof removed in 1 hr and onto the new one. The crew was polite and worked very hard in the heat. They completed the project in less than 6.5 hrs and left the area immaculate. This was our second time working with Koontz and would highly recommend them.
-
I had couple of roof repairs, and gutters on front of house. Koontz was able to come out and fix the repairs in about one week. I really liked the speedy service I received. Everyone at Koontz’s was pleasant to work with. I would recommend Koontz.
-
Koontz replaced our roof, siding, and a window after a storm knocked a tree down on the house. They were prompt, professional, and reassuring of repairing the damage. They communicated frequently throughout each step, were within the insurance estimate range, and cleaned up the area when they were done. Highly recommend them!
-
Very happy with everything. I got 3 bids, and Koontz wasn't the absolute lowest, but the price was fair for a complete new roof, and the earlier great reviews here convinced me. The work was done quickly and right, and communication was very good. The workers accidentally damaged something minor, and Koontz made it right quickly. Would absolutely recommend and use again.
-
Koontz installed a new roof on our house last month. Julio was easy to work with, inspected the old roof thoroughly to diagnose the problems, and followed through on the new roof installation in a timely manner. We appreciate the fair price we were charged and also the quality of the shingles used (Malarkey 40-year sustainable polymer asphalt shingles). Julio even coordinated with the solar panel installation company about the timing of the removal and reinstall of our panels. We would recommend Koontz.
-
Koontz Construction replaced my two old skylights. They did a wonderful job, were very professional, and considerate. The skylights look fantastic!
-
We used Koontz Construction to repair a hole in our damaged siding. They did an outstanding job! They personally met with us and explained the process, completed everything in a timely manner, and made sure that the new piece of siding fit perfectly with the existing siding. We were more than pleased with our experience and would highly recommend them.
-
From the beginning Koontz Roofing made me feel reassured and comfortable. Nate came out to give me an estimate. He made me feel like he was a friend. He took pictures to explain the roof issues. He helped me choose the products that would work best and gave me a cost estimate. When it was time for the work to be done, the workers were friendly, efficient, and cleaned up . After they left, you could not tell any work had been done at all, except my roof was new. If I ever need any more work done, Koontz will be doing it.
-
Hired to cut some soffit vents and was super impressed with professionalism and quality all the way from the estimate and scheduling process and the crew that did the work. Great communication and honest, reliable people.

-
We used Koontz to replace a gutter and trim piece of our siding following a recent wind storm. Their response was very quick and Brandon was good to work with. The gutter was installed well and the color matching of the new trim piece to our older siding was pretty much indistinguishable. I would definitely use their services again.
-
Good company, and well staffed roofing & construction company. Really nice people who do a good job and stand bye their work! I recommend them! They also do Exterior, and Gutters. Good honest hard working people! They did a good job for me!

Koontz repaired my garage roof in December 2023. They are great to work with and schedule, and the work crew did a good job. The carpenter really knew what he was doing, and the repair is excellent. They always kept their appointments and scheduled work on time, and thoroughly cleaned up after the work. I highly recommend them, and look forward to working with them again in the future.

-
I am very pleased with the job done for me by Koontz roofing. This job included Hardy board siding, new roof using dimensional shingles, and guttering. The entire process from the first phone call with Joanie, through the final cleanup of the worksite went smoothly. They took time to listen to my goals, made appropriate recommendations, and provided information about materials and options. They made everything easy for me to understand and the work was done in a timely and professional manner with minimal disruption to my daily routine. I'm really happy that I made this investment in my home, and glad also that they were nice people to work with.

Upon early arrival on the scheduled day for the replacement of the roof, all of the members of the crew promptly began their organized and well planned work process. At the end of this day, the hard working team had completed the entire roof project. They were all very knowledgeable and conscientious throughout the completion of this job. From the management to the front desk, the entire Koontz Roofing organization was a positive experience and a roof replacement well done.
-
Very professional. Had new windows and siding put on our sunroom. Amazing transformation. Couldn't be more pleased with the finished project. Will definitely use their services again on our upcoming projects.

Koontz installed a large Pella window in November of 2023. The work involved removing the old window and trim, and installing the new window with new trim. I used Koontz Roofing in October 2023. They replaced the roof, new siding on one exterior wall, and put all new guttering after the hailstorm in Spencer. They were honest and effecient and completed the work in a timely manner. Everything looks great, and they tidied up well afterward. I would highly recommend them.
-
I appreciate Koontz because of their willingness to help fix problems (that they didn't create). We had a longstanding intermittent exterior leak that took a long time to sort out. They were the only company willing to investigate and help solve the problem. It was very much appreciated. They have always been direct, honest, and fair with me. I'm happy to have a company like this in our community!
-
I’m very pleased with the work Koontz did for us following the hail storm. They worked on both our home and our rental property. This included roof, gutter and siding replacement. Nate was awesome in working with the insurance adjusters. I was always able to get speedy replies to any questions. I would heartily recommend this business.

-
The Koontz team was great. Nate got me an estimate quickly and then he and his team took the time to meet with the insurance adjusters. They communicated with me on the schedule and were there when they said they’d be. The day they came out they arrived early and got right to it. They removed all the old shingles, replaced several sheets of plywood, and then installed a great looking shingle all in less than 10hrs. They cleaned up their mess and by 6pm the trailer was gone and you couldn’t even tell they had been there. Would highly recommend the Koontz team for any work I needed done.
-
My roof came out amazing! The contractors were beyond respectful and were great with our Dog! Definitely will be using you guy again for our future projects! Thank you!

Had my roof done. Nathan Koontz is an awesome guy to deal with.Crew was great got it done no hidden fees..Cant wait to get siding and gutters done.. Highly recommend this company..
-
Koontz re-roofed our home last month and the entire experience was pleasingly uneventful. Nate was on time to estimate our job and actually got up on the roof to take a look. He was very responsive and made a second trip out to help us select the right shingle color. He said we'd hear from the crew in a few weeks and we did -- they committed to a day and they were there on time as they said. The crew was pleasant, hard working and cleaned up amazingly well. We are pleased with the work and it looks great. Sometimes 'boring' is a good thing - and this one went about as smoothly as one could ask! Would recommend.
-
Had them do some minor roof repair. Price was reasonable, they showed up on time, completed the work and didn't try to upsell me.
-
-
Koontz was contracted to replace our windows and siding and they did a fantastic job from the start! Thanks to Ricardo, Brandon and their entire crew. The window team was great and worked together like they'd been doing it forever (thx George, Ben & Mike). The siding team was efficient and had the work done in two days. We highly recommend Koontz Construction!

-
Very good work. We had 2 skylights replaced that had been leaking for some time. Highly recommend this company to anyone. Did not have to wait long after getting estimate done to get the job finished. Very pleased with their work, very professional. Even repaired some shingles that had been damaged from the storms. When calling to speak to someone, they are all so friendly and very helpful. 5 star in my book.
-
Pleasure to work with a professional and courteous staff. Quality of work and price were excellent.
-
Koontz construction has completed several repairs for us in the past. We have been impressed with the high quality of their work, as well as their efficiency and professionalism.
-
I was so impressed with the responsiveness, care, and thoroughness of Koontz. My siding suffered damage and they looked out for me in the entire process, going above and beyond to protect the house when it was very at risk. They saved me a lot of headaches and I am very grateful.
-
We called for a problem, and they came out and fixed it. Thank you
-
We are very pleased with the service we received from Koontz Construction. They are very dependable and show up when they say they will. Julio spoke directly to our insurance adjuster which was a tremendous help to us. They replaced our roof in one day. We highly recommend this company!
-
They promptly repaired the siding after a wind storm.
-
Removed aol old composite siding and plywood soffits, repaired bad underlayment, installed new vinyl siding, all new soffits, and replaced 14 old windows. My home is much warmer and is beautiful! Hard working team. I would strongly recommend to anyone.
-
Koontz did an excellent job installing a new roof and windows for our home. They were all highly professional and I would use them again! Thank you

I called Koontz Roofing the day after high winds blew six pieces of vinyl siding off of my house and left two other pieces half on and half off. Within an hour or so, the office informed me I would receive a call the next day, probably from Brandon. Sure enough, he called me at 9:53 and arrived ten minutes later. After assessing the situation, which required climbing a ladder to the roof of the garage, he re-attached the siding in less than an hour. He was professional, efficient, and friendly. He even gave me a referral to a mason for some patch work that needs to be done to the brick facing on the front of the house. I was quoted a minimum charge of $350 for coming to the house and received an invoice in that amount by email a day later. Because of the responsiveness and professionalism, I will call Koontz in the future should the need arise. Lastly, I should add that a few other companies I called couldn't come to the house until the following week, but only to give me an estimate. The fact that the siding repair by Koontz occurred in less than 24 hours was impressive and alleviated my concerns about heavy rain that was expected later in the week which, in fact, did happen.
-
Koontz construction went above and beyond for me and my family. Julio is amazing and really looks out for his customers, the whole process was explained well and they had great follow up during the whole process. Koontz installed new roof and gutters on my house. I would recommend them over anybody in the Bloomington or Ellettsville area!!!
-
-
Koontz is always ready to help! We had a leaky kitchen window and Brandon came out the same day. He quickly located the problem and repaired the window leak. I am extremely pleased with Brandon and Koontz Construction.
-
Good work at a good price
-
Koontz was recommended to me by a friend to check out a problem with some siding on our house. They responded to my call the same day, and had someone out to assess that day. The siding work was completed within the week at a reasonable cost. When I called with questions, the person who did the repairs contacted me that day and answered all my questions. I highly recommend them.
-
We chose Koontz to replace our roof for several reasons. They offer Malarky shingles, offered fair and straightforward pricing, and they gave us an honest evaluation from the start. The crew was courteous, efficient, punctual and tidy.
-
Great company to work with. If you use them you will stay with them. Service gets better if you’re a repeat customer.
-
We gave Koontz Construction Company a 5 Star rating because it is well-deserved praise!! They went above and beyond what we expected when they repaired our roof. Our new go-to contractors. Thank-You! Deb Martin
-
Many thanks to Brandon and his team!
-
Koontz Roofing made life easier. They took care of everything. They completed the job in a day. I will be using them in the future!
-
Brandon and his crew replaced a few areas of fiber cement siding that really wasn't installed properly years ago and failed prematurely. The work looked great, and the communication was excellent. They found a couple other small issues and took care of them while here as well. Price was fair and in line with other bids I'd received. Will contact them again in the future if/when the need arises.
-
Did a great job on our roof quick and professional I think the guys name was Brandon not sure but great to work.
-

I feel comfortable and relieved that I will now have a leak free roof, especially going into the winter. I have everything good to say about Koontz Construction from beginning to end. Everyone worked very hard and got the job done. I recommend them! Thanks again.
-
Koontz did a great job on our new roof. We were in a major time crunch selling our house when we discovered hail damage while under contract. Julio worked with us to get the replacement completed during this stressful time. He also was a great help working with the insurance.
-
I am very pleased with the roof shingling performed by Koontz Construction. They did everything as requested and did this work with a smile!! I highly recommend Koontz Construction for work that might need to be completed. I used Koontz also for a home that we had in Indianapolis, and was extremely satisfied with the work completed. Koontz Construction comes highly recommended by other builders in the Bloomington area. You can't go wrong with this Team of Professionals.
-
Koontz is an extremely professional and tidy company. The new roof, gutters, and facia was all done with great quality work in a timely fashion.
-
Very knowledgeable! High quality work completed swiftly at a great rate.

Very happy with my new roof, they took old roof off, replaced with new shingles, and cleaned up and was finished by 3:30 that afternoon. Kudos to Julio and his crew, would recommend them highly!

-
We reached out to Koontz after a tree damage the side of our newly-purchased home. During a stressful time, they were responsive, helpful, and provided great quality work!
-
My 20 year old home needed some repairs to the vinyl siding. Koontz was able to remove and reuse our existing siding so we didn't have to worry about a color mismatch while adding sealant and making repairs to the sheathing behind the siding. I received excellent communication and photos of the work. They'll be my top choice for any future work, thanks!
-
Fair pricing and easy to work with. Workers did a great job and completed job by the afternoon. I would recommend anyone to use Koontz Roofing.
-
Koontz did a great job on my home. They not only installed a top-of-the-line Malarkey shingle - with an unprecedented warranty - on my roof but also roofed my new addition too and tied it in seamlessly with the rest of the roof. Looks terrific! They also did a great job installing gutters and downspouts that perfectly match my paint trim. This company is composed of very nice people who really care about you and your home and follow through with a great install. Highly recommend giving them a chance to meet your home’s needs.
-
Koontz Construction managed the complete residing of our home this summer with the James Hardie fiber concrete board (board and batten style) and subcontracted the painting. Their staff were knowledgeable, patient with our questions, and responsive about timeline. This was a big deal for us. We'd built our own home with the original native poplar board and batten siding and changing to this new product was a huge investment in our long term sustainability. The work crew were amazing. Efficient, skilled, tolerant (of extreme heat and humidity on the week they tackled it), and even friendly to our beagle dog who wanted to distract them for loving. I was in awe at their absolute dedication to working hard and staying until all was complete and done well. Ricardo and Brandon were wonderful to work with on the details before/after and during. We can't thank them enough.
-
-
Koontz roofing done a fantastic job they went above and beyond. After they left you could not tell they had been there. I would give them 10 stars!
-
Finished in 1 day. Excellent job cleaning up. Roof looks great.
-
-
We had Koontz re-shingle our roof and install several skylights and a solar tube. Julio and the crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. The crew worked hard and performed the job in a very reasonable amount of time despite inclement weather. The job was complicated by the fact that we have solar panels on the roof and we had to coordinate their removal by another company before the roofing and skylight replacement could take place. The coordination worked seamlessly. The job was further complicated by the fact that when the panels were removed several years of leaf litter and squirrel nesting was revealed. Julio and the crew cleaned all the debris off the roof and subsequently cleaned it all from around the house as well! Some of the roof sheathing was damaged and they replaced it with new material as well as some edging that was apparently undersized and had to be remade in their shop. All in all they did an excellent job and the new roof looks great. We can recommend them whole heartedly and with no reservations.
-
Our neighbor used Koontz Roofing and Construction last fall and I copied the phone number from their truck. Julio came out and inspected the roof, explained the need, and helped us select the roof shingles. He also alerted us to brickwork needed on the chimney. On the day of roof replacement, a crew arrived, took off the old roof, replaced the decking, put on the new shingles, and cleaned up. The project was finished in one day. What a hard working crew!! They did a great job and we love our new roof.
-
Siding replaced. Koontz construction was quick, efficient a pleasure to work with. They were in and out in 2 days. When I had questions, Brandon called within a day. I certainly recommend them!
-
We are very pleased with the new roof that Julio and his workmen installed for us. Julio had taken a lot of time at the beginning when he first came out to look at the job so that my husband and I were well informed about the choice of materials and the estimated cost. He also went up on the roof and took several photos of places where our old roof had lost most of its asphalt surface, so that there was no doubt that it was time for a new roof. All the materials were delivered the day before the job was scheduled so that on the day of the work everything was ready. They not only finished the roof in one day, they also did a stellar job of cleaning the site. Sherry coordinated everyone's activities and also put us in touch with a contractor to install new gutters, so now our home looks all refreshed. Everyone was very pleasant to work with besides being very capable.
-
-
I wanted to give a shoutout to Koontz Roofing and the great crew that replaced our roof. The crew did an amazing job. They went well beyond and above what I was expecting. Their professionalism was exceptional. They discovered additional problems and worked with me to complete the job in one day. From their initial inspection to the completion of the job everything was top notch. I would gladly recommend them to anyone that wants the job done right!

-
A few weeks ago, I had my house roofed by Koontz Roofing and Exterior Construction. The management at Koontz Roofing were extremely pleasant and helpful to work with. The men who did the roofing were friendly, punctual, efficient and thorough. They also did a very good job of cleaning up after they were finished. One would not have even known they had been here. I am very pleased with the work Koontz Roofing has done for me and recommend them to anyone wishing to have a top quality roofing experience.
-
Koontz did a great job on replacement windows for me. I was able to turn the entire job over to them. Koontz measured the windows, ordered all materials, and completed the installation. Metal wrapping was included in the pricing and was done very well. Very professional group to work with and always showed up as scheduled. Great job!
-
Brandon and his crew were excellent. They were able to repair my garage wraps and re do the area around my garage doors. They were very fast and cleaned up everything perfectly. I was very impressed how quickly they were able to come by for an estimate and finish the job. Highly recommend!!!
-
Koontz did a good job on our roof vent, hooking up our exhaust fans and replacing our skylight. They are prompt and efficient.
-
They arrived early and stayed until done.
-
-
We had a great experience working with Koontz. Sherry was very communicative throughout the entire process. PJ came out to assess our leaking roof and provide an estimate. He was right on time, thoroughly explained the issue with pictures and was prompt with a quote to complete the work. The team came back out to replace our chimney flashing and repair the roof area damaged by temporarily tarping (done by a different company). Highly recommend
-
-
Really happy with both things that we have had done, removal of storm damaged roofing and installation of new roof, last summer. And removal of old windows and installation of new replacement windows just recently. They were very professional and quick! Did what they said they would do. Would use them again and refer them as well.
-
Transparent with pricing and recommendations, punctual, efficient.
-
Whole house roof replacement, shingle and membrane. Excellent, professional customer service, quality products, and experienced crews to get the job done in a timely manner. Give them a call for your next project.
-
When I learned our roof needing replacing, I contacted three firms for an estimate. All three responded but Julio, from Koontz Roofing, took the time to explain the wear and tear on our current shingles, how their company would fix the roof and any unseen damage and then explained in detail their product's advantages. He provided me with addresses to completed jobs in the area so we could see the look of the shingles we were considering. He checked back with me during the decision process and was always quick to respond to my inquires. Koontz wasn't quite the lowest bid but it was the BEST bid. The job was done efficiently, expertly and quickly. The clean up was amazing! If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't need three estimates - just one from Koontz Construction. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs!
-
Koontz Roofing installed 2 Sun Tunnels and fixed one that was improperly installed. They completely and instantly brightened up my dark living area into a light filled room. The installers were professional, cleaned up and were respectful. I couldn't ask for a better outcome. I highly recommend this company.
-
Koontz was prompt in estimating, They completely the work in a reasonable amount of time during a very busy season. They performed services exactly as I had wished, and I'm very happy with the result. I will consider Koontz for future roofing projects and recommend them.
-
I had an unexpected death in the family and needed to be out of town when Koontz replaced my roof. When I returned I had a new roof and there were no signs that anyone had even been there because everything was perfectly cleaned up. Very happy with the quality of work, professionalism, and service.
-
Brandon and Julio were very thorough during the initial inspection. They provided estimate quickly and were very responsive answering follow-up questions. Julio was particularly helpful in making additional visits with shingle samples from different brands. Work was completed in a single day about 2 days after the contract was signed. Very happy with the overall experience.
-
My roof obviously needed repair. Since I was newly on my own and taking care of all the research and decisions for home repair and maintenance, I was relieved to see Koontz Construction on the list of suggested companies. They had done some other work on my house a few years ago, so I was confident they would be a good choice for this repair, and I wasn’t disappointed. From the initial contact to the estimate to the work itself, every person involved was professional, courteous, helpful and supportive. Their work is outstanding and very affordable. They will be the first company I contact for any future work on the exterior of my house, and I give them the very highest recommendation.
-
Koontz was wonderful to work with on our project. They were friendly and professional with their quote and installation. I was amazed by how they were able to install a new roof in what seemed like no time at all. We would use them again without a second thought!
-
They installed new siding to the back of our house and the visual difference is night and day. They showed up on time, completed the work very quickly, and were upfront and honest about weather delays. I would highly recommend.

-
-
Koontz does a really solid job, they installed a new skylight and the team were professional, did a quality job on the install and left everything clean and tidy.
-
After getting estimates from several other companies Koontz came in far lower than competitors. Everyone else was trying to upsell me on things I didn't need but the Koontz crew was honest and straight forward and gave me a price I was happy with. They are a professional crew and got new gutters put up quick. I highly recommend them!
-
Koontz recently replaced my roof and my wood siding with vinyl siding. I'm very happy with how both jobs came out. I was surprised how fast they got everything done even though it's the end of the year and the days are short. They took good care of all the light fixtures, doorbells, cable box, etc. They broke a coaxial cable that I have for internet but replaced it the next day. They cleaned everything up when they were done, not waiting days to get the dumpster out of my driveway.
-
We hired Koontz twice to replace our roof and rewrap the house/replace the siding. They were courteous, professional, and efficient throughout both projects. Their crew came and got right to work and cleaned up afterwards. They ran the magnet twice around the house to be sure they picked up all the nails and sharp metal pieces. We have found none that they missed! The workmanship on the siding was better than I expected. I recommend them!
-
The estimate was quick & 100% accurate. Julio & his crew were very helpful, professional, cleaned everything up & were done installing the roof in less than 4 hours. You'd never even know that they were here if it weren't for the great new roof on the house! We are so happy & will use Koontz for any other projects in the future.
-

Koontz Construction did an excellent job replacing the siding on my entire house plus replacing my gutters. They also installed new soffits and trim. They got the job done super fast and it looks amazing! I have gotten so many compliments from my neighbors. Brandon was great to work with and very flexible with my insane schedule. I would highly recommend Koontz Construction and will use them in the future if there's anything else I need. Thank you!

Koontz Construction repaired two Sun Tunnels that had come apart and fallen down in the attic. They arrived with their masks on, were very polite, and were knowledgeable about the repairs needed. I really appreciated their service, but especially that they wore their masks around me, even outside. Thank you!
-
Truly impressed by how efficient the roof replacement went and the quality of workmanship. The crew is extremely professional from Julio who measured and quoted the job down to the workers who nailed the last of the shingles and cleaned up when it was done. I definitely recommend if looking to replace your roof.
-
I had a small roof leak around chimney and needed a new dryer vent cover installed on a steep roof. The crew was able to work my job in earlier than expected which was great. Super professional and explained found issues and possible causes. Nice to catch a small problem early before it became a bigger issue. Thanks!
-
Koontz Construction is an awesome company. From the initial meeting for a quote to the final work to be done on my roof, they were friendly, efficient, snd handled the work in a timely manner. The roof on my house is perfect. I trusted them to pick the best shingles for my house snd I was so happy with the results. I later had them back to replace the flat roof on my sunporch. Both prices were so reasonable. You can’t go wrong by hiring this company.
-
We had an issue with leaks and soft boards in our flat roof near a chimney. Koontz figured out the problems, recommended a good contractor to fix the chimney part of the problem, and then fixed the roof by the chimney. Their estimator and workers were friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend them. Thank you!
-
They were amazing and professional and very though. The gutters are so beautiful. I love them.
-
-
Koontz construction did a fantastic job putting in our new skylight. They really came through for us after our previous contractor left us with an unfinished project for months. Koontz came out and had our skylight installed in less than a day. Friendly and professional office staff, and courteous workers. The new skylight looks great.
-
Called for small repair to siding on a condominium. Although this was a really small job, Koontz Construction was professional and responsive to our needs. Took time to give us an estimate and get the work done in a timely manner. I so appreciated the ease in working with them! Would highly recommend!!
-
Koontz Roofing & Construction installed a new roof on my home. They were one of three contractors that I received a proposal from. I was impressed not only by their reputation; but by the thoroughness of the inspection, the products they use and their professionalism. They were the only company that actually went up on my roof and took pictures and explained the issues to me. They were a head and shoulders above the other companies that came to give proposals for my roof replacement. I feel that I got a great product for a reasonable cost. The crew and staff were very professional and friendly. Julio, the gentleman who initially came out, is an asset to the company. I was leaning toward hiring them anyway, but he clinched the deal. I am VERY happy with the workmanship and my new roof. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone! I liked this company so much that I had them come back and replace my old gutters with new ones. They did an excellent job and my gutters look and work so much better! I'm am very happy with the work.
-
PJ was quick to come out for an estimate to fix problems we've had with our gutters. He was very thorough. I did call to check in on scheduling as I had not yet heard about a date since we were leaving but they already had us on the schedule! Would definitely use them again!

-
Received a referral from local hardware legend in town to contact Koontz Construction for repairs and re-sealing needed for some sunlight tubes and skylights. Crew did an excellent job and no more leaking from the one tube that was having problems with the recent heavy rains. For any roof or skylight repairs, Koontz is the company to call!
-
-
They repaired a 15ft section of damaged gutter within 10% of original est. It was one man one day job that was not an emergency and they got to it in less than 2wks and finished the same day. Now 4mo later after heavy rains, no leaking. Excellent job. I would recommend and am planning to contact for another small job.
-
Koontz was professional from start to finish. When calling for the inspection and estimate Julio was very detailed and explained the situation and the roof repairs needed. Once we locked in our price the crew arrived on time and finished the job in 8 hours (full roof installation). From start to finish Koontz (Julio) was great to work with and they will have my business as long as I live in the Bloomington area. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for roof installation and or inspection.
-
Koontz Construction did a wonderful job installing a new large window in a wall that previously did not have a window. They were extremely timely, easy to work with, thorough, and super responsive. They completed the job in a very timely manner with great quality. Comparatively they were very affordable compared to some other quotes we received. I highly recommend Koontz Roofing and Exterior Construction for any project.

The team was prompt, professional and friendly. The results exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.
-
Koontz Roofing was incredibly professional and easy to work with!! No wonder their signs are all over Bloomington :) !! We had a sun-tunnel added to our kitchen, roof replaced, and 2 skylights added. Julio was absolutely phenomenal to work with throughout the whole project. Julio, the roofing crew, and the multiple sets of contractors (sky-tunnel, skylight work) were all on-time, easy to work with, and professional. We also couldn't be happier with the results (see images). I would absolutely recommend Koontz roofing for any roofing needs, adding skylights, and adding sun-tunnels. Thanks all!!
-
PJ Barnes kept us informed about the progress of our order; he supervised the installation of 3 Velux Sun Tunnels and a skylight. We were happy with the process and are very happy with the light the Sun Tunnels have brought to some formerly dark corners of the house.
-
Julio was awesome. He came to take a look at a project and took his time in explaining a lot of things we didn't know about roofing. He was on time, friendly and very professional. Highly recommend.
-
The Koontz crew were friendly, skilled and fast! Their quote was reasonable, and the material quality is excellent. I am so pleased with my new roof and gutters. They took good care to get the details right, which is so important in a roof. And it looks great. I have gotten a lot of compliments.
-
Great work from Koontz on our insurance-funded roof replacement. Julio was patient in explaining the process. He worked with my insurance company to make sure everything was well documented and that all possible work was covered. The roof looks beautiful. We did find a few roofing nails and material, but relatively minor.
-
Koontz Roofing replaced our 30-year-old roof and 6 skylights in 12 hours one Wednesday. We chose them because Julio was the most persuasive sales rep I've ever encountered -- fully informed, upbeat, helpful samples, no rush, great attitude -- and also had persuaded us that Malarkey shingles, ecologically good (recycled rubber I think, and long-lasting), were better than the alternative offered by two other bids (I also googled later, and googlers agreed). The price was in line with the other bids. Julio offered references, including addresses so I could see colors in real life, and they all raved about him, the company, the results. He went back and forth with me about whether and how many skylights to replace and why -- very patient. After some to-and-fro with Adam about scheduling, to accommodate weather and my needing a quiet day to host a Zoom, the office sent a helpful sheet of "no surprises" tips on what to expect, and materials were dropped a few days before at a spot in the driveway interfering with nothing. The crew of 12-13 showed up at 7:30 a.m., and they worked nonstop, a well-oiled friendly team. I think Adam was there all day as foreman, and Julio dropped by as well. It was amazing to watch them work, they checked with me a couple of times with judgment calls on trimming bushes for access, the clean-up was phenomenal -- we found ONE nail afterwards --, and we love the results, a gorgeous new roof on house, breezeway, and garage. (Note: "Midnight Black is really a dark mottled gray, as hoped). I highly recommend Koontz Roofing.
-
The shingles on our roof were extremely worn. The team from Koontz came out and ten hours later, our shingles were replaced and looks absolutely amazing. The entire area was cleaned of debris at the end of the day and some pieces of damaged siding were replaced (at no charge!). We could not be happier with the results. Many thanks to the entire team. Call these folks. You will not be disappointed.

Quality work in a timely manner. Efficient service. Easy to work with.

Koontz Construction helped me with two soffit repairs. (1) The crew was professional and able to address the issues right on; (2) The crew was great in communication. One of the two repairs had to involve another contractor and that contractor's progress was slower than expected. Koontz understood and was able to reschedule without complaining; (3) The crew was patient. As a business owner, I always asked lots of questions and the crew patiently answered each of them so I can understand the scope of the work better. I appreciate the work Koontz did and I will surely call in Koontz for other projects in the future.
-
Every interaction that I had with Koontz Construction from the time that I called for a quote through the completion of the project was a pleasure. Derek and Jeff completed my skylight installation, and they were great on-site. Based on this experience I would definitely use Koontz Construction again in the future, and am happy to recommend them.
-
Very friendly, easy to talk to. Fair prices and quick work. I will definitely be back should I need more of their roofing work.
-
Just had a new roof installed. The old roof was getting up there in age and I had Koontz come out and take a look and give me a quote. It's a busy time of year, but they managed to come out within a few days. Julio took some pictures of what was going on and did a great job of explaining some of the existing issues going on beyond just the age of the old roof. He gave me a good comfort level that they knew what they were doing and would take care of any and all issues. They matched the shingle color/style to a recent addition and got me back a quote vey quickly. After accepting the quote I got scheduled in a week. The crew started early and worked until it was dark (they confirmed I was ok with both beforehand). It's a fairly large and steep roof and they needed a second day to finish. They started back early the next day and finished around lunch. They got everything cleaned up pretty well. I walked around the house later that afternoon and only found a handful of small pieces that were missed and no nails. The new roof looks great. Overall I was very happy with the whole experience.
-
I just had a new roof put on and the experience great. They were fair with their price, were there when they told me and the crew was professional, respectful and left no mess behind. The inspection and estimate process was was EASY! Special thanks to Julio and his crew. Nice work.
-
I had replacement windows installed for entire house. These folks from top to bottom were very nice and professional. Top notch efficient installers, super craftsmanship and high quality windows for a great price equals a very happy home owner. Thanks to everyone involved.
-
This is the second time I've used Koontz to put a roof on my home. They do a professional job installing and cleaning up. They also installed new gutters and they look great. They have been quick to answer any questions and work to resolve any issues I've had. I also know from past experience that if I had any problems with the roof they would be there ASAP to fix them.
-
I recently used Koontz to replace my well aged roof. Koontz could not have made things any easier for me. I went from asking a sales guy on a roof for a business card to having a quote in hand for my roof the same night. Scheduling was a breeze. The morning of the repair, the manager was outside and ready by 7:30 that morning. Every member of the crew had a smile on their face and something friendly to say. They've got the job down to a science as they had completely replaced the roof and cleaned up after themselves by lunch. The prices were fair, the service was great. I won't hesitate to call them again for other jobs.
-
I had Koontz Roofing for roof replacement two weeks ago. Their quote was reasonable and very responsive to all the questions and requests that I asked compared to other roofing contractors. They have also completed the project very professionally and timely. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in roof shingles replacement/repair.
-
I have been around residential construction for the last 20+ years. The roofing crews that Koontz Construction use are by far top notch roofers. They take pride in the work that they do and assure the homeowners they are getting the best in the business.
-
We could not be more pleased with the roof replacement work completed by Koontz Roofing & Exterior Construction. From start to finish, all interactions were professional, timely, and exceeded our expectations. This is our second experience with this local, celebrated company. We highly recommend Koontz Roofing & Exterior Construction.
-
My experience with Koontz was great! They installed windows, and replaced a few deck rail boards. Good service and value, and cleaned well before they left!
-
Koontz construction repaired my roof following a leak at the beginning of 2021. They responded to my request very quickly, did a great job, and were a great deal! Highly recommend them for your roofing needs!
-
Koontz construction replaced several windows in my home. They were very professional, friendly.I was pleased with the outcome. They really did a good job and cleaned up after the job was complete. I would highly recommend having them do windows. Glad I went with them. Thanks again!
-
Koontz Construction was a pleasure to work with - understood our pressure from pool installer to get guttering on porch done ASAP! They were very quick... showed up same day to give estimate and completed the job next day! Will use them again. Do yourself a favor and call them FIRST!
-
Responsive, excellent service, very reasonable cost. Would recommend and use again.
-
Koontz recently completed an almost complete renovation of the second story of our colonial home. Their work and interactions with me were professional and responsive. The project was completed on time and to budget.
-
The guys from Koontz came out and checked out my roof. Jamar Properties sent them out and they were very thorough in checking our roof. The gentlemen showed up right away and came back the next day because I was busy working. They explain what the issue was, repaired it, and even went up in the attic to make sure everything was OK. The guy that works there said he wasn't the boss when I asked for a business card but that his boss treats him really well. They were planning on going to Vegas as a company together but that didn't work and they still treated their employees to the $$$ that they were going to spend. This seems like a great company to work for! Keep up the good work guys!
-
They replaced my old skylight with just the right new one. They completed the removal of the old one and the installation of the new one quickly with no mess inside of the house. Nice to deal with and I'm so glad I chose them!
-
We had our bathroom vents and dryer vents properly vented to the outside of the house. We bought an older home that only vented these items into the attic. Koontz was very professional, courteous, and efficient with their time. I would use them again in the future.
-
We had a great experience working with Koontz Roofing. The customer service we received from Julio Reyes was excellent, he did a very good job of explaining our options and did not pressure us into any decisions. The installation went just as smoothly, the crew showed up on time did a superb job, were very polite and did an excellent job of cleaning up before they left. We would highly recommend Koontz Roofing to anyone needing a roof replacement.
-
Koontz Construction replaced my hail-damaged roof and reset the skylights. Julio Reyes handled the interaction with the insurance company and scheduled and completed the job very soon after the claim was approved. I was impressed with him and his crew. Julio is very competent, responsive and courteous. The crew worked diligently and in a disciplined fashion from the moment they arrived until they finished the job the same day. They cleaned the site well before they left.
-
New metal roof looks great! The crew that installed it was great! Everyone was nice, friendly & polite.
-
Koontz did great work on putting in my new roof. The new shingles look wonderful.
-
When I contacted Koontz to finalize plans for the work, it was about two months after they gave me an estimate. They worked me in and got the job done right away. The trim under my front windows looks amazing and they ensured there was no damage caused by the disrepair before. Great people to work with and great work too! I will definitely use them again.
-
We worked with Koontz on both the siding and window replacements on our home. We had a tremendous experience and are beyond thrilled with the results. Both Brandon and Ricardo were very communicative and went above and beyond to identify potential alternative solutions when supply issues arose. We would undoubtedly recommend Koontz to anyone and will reach out to them immediately for any future projects.
-
Josh and his crew were quick to respond when I called and we’re professional and thorough. On the day of installation the crew showed up on time and completed the job faster than I expected. Cleanup was immaculate, you couldn’t even tell they had been there. From arrival to cleanup on a 2200 square foot house they were finished in less than 8 hours. They even loaded and removed a couple of large items that I needed disposed of at no charge. I would highly recommend Koontz construction and will continue to use them in the future.
-
Wonderful people from the office to the laborers! They are a A-Z company meaning if you need work done you can contact them and they will get you taken care of. I was so impressed with the customer service and the work I made sure to write an email expressing how wonderful their employees are twice. I did not find one nail in my yard after they were finished they cleaned up so well. I will be sure to call them again when needed. I cannot praise them enough
-
Koontz Construction were both professional and efficient. Their crews were effective and thorough and all work was 100% satisfactory. We can highly recommend them to others.
-
Quality service and even when I had a few questions about things they were able to address them quickly and professionally.
-
Great experience!! Came out and quoted and came the next week to do the roof coating (mobile home). Went with the 20 year roof coating and it looks fantastic. The guy who came to do the work was super nice! Cleaned up afterwards. Great job!!
-
No complaints! Everything went smoothly.
-
Fast, Affordable, and Great Quality! Easy to work with, and very friend staff through the whole process. 10/10 would recommend.
-
Koontz did a great job on repairing our roof. We have a difficult time getting contractors to come out to where we live. They came out and provided an estimate within one week. We scheduled our repair and it was completed very quickly and efficiently. We are very pleased and would not hesitate to call them again in the future.
-
Koontz Construction did an excellent job re-siding my house. No detail was overlooked and they went out of their way to accommodate my siding choice, making sure the materials arrived in time for me to do some painting on trim boards. That's good service. Everyone, from Sherry in the office, Ricardo who did the estimate, and Josh and Brandon who supervised an expert crew, was professional but also friendly. I couldn't be happier with the result and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and recommend them to others.
-
Had a great experience. Everyone was very responsive. Left a clean worksite and got the work done really quickly. Looks great and am very please with the new roof and brick repair. Thanks again!!
-
We had Koontz Construction put on a new roof, new siding, underpinning and guttering. They did a great job very professional. They also did a fantastic job with cleaning up after themselves!! I would definitely recommend them and will use them again if need be!! A shout out to all of them!!😊
-
After some storm/wind damage, our 4-year old roof was punctured and desperately needed repaired. I was referred to Koontz Roofing for services and was extremely pleased with their customer service, professionalism, and timeliness. I will definitely be calling them first for any related work in the future. Thank you again!
-
Koontz did a fantastic job on my window installation! I am very impressed with their professionalism and quality of work! Brandon was great at coordinating the project! He was very professional and quick to answer my questions! I highly recommend Koontz and will be utilizing them again for my upcoming projects!
-
Koontz was phenomenal. They came to survey, provided a very reasonable estimate within two days, and we scheduled the timing. They came, removed the old roof, installed a new roof with two skylights and a light tunnel over the bathroom and had the work completed in two days. They cleaned everything up. I wish I had to have roof replacements all the time. They made it easy, straightforward and the work is outstanding. I offer the highest recommendation and will use them again.
-
Results appear to be professionally done in a prompt fashion.
-
Koontz Construction did a great job replacing our roof. Their crew worked hard to get the job done and did excellent work. I'm terrible with names but all of their crew was so professional and kind. We highly recommend their business.
-
I needed a new roof. The shingles were shot and so were some vents. They showed up when they said they would and got it done the same day. From what I can tell, it looks like a quality job.
-
They did an amazing job. They got out late, due to a delay on their previous job but when they showed up, man did they work hard. They did a great job of cleaning up afterwards as well. They even came back out the next day to make sure they didn't miss anything while they cleaned up in the dark. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
-
Like many other consumers we were in the market for a replacement on our roof. Multiple companies came out at their convenience to email a quote. I was contacted with in 24 hours to schedule an inspection for an estimate. Julio met us at the house after hours and explained what needed to be done and why. Koontz was competitively priced but the value they provided exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend their services to friends, family and my customers.
-
From the start, working with Koontz Roofing was seamless. The estimator was on time and the timeline mentioned when the roof project started was the same. The crew was professional, the job was done in a few hours and the completed product was more than we expected. Also, the crew cleaned up all extra waste from the site, with minimal impact on our yard. Working with Koontz Roofing will be a good experience for all needing roofing services.
-
Koontz did an outstanding job replacing our roof 4 years ago, so when it was time for us to replace our windows and siding, we didn't hesitate calling them. Their customer service stands out from that first call about interest all the way through to the follow up after the job is complete.
-
I was very pleased with their work and happy that they completed all the work in one day. All the employees were a pleasure to work with.
-
We have had storm damage to the roof twice in the last two years and both times Koontz was able to repair the roof in a timely manner and the quality of work is stellar. Both the office and onsite workers are professional and helpful. Highly recommend!
-
We had our roof replaced this spring and was very pleased with the work. The quality of the workmanship is clear and the workers were professional and timely. We had a roof repair due to a storm shortly before we decided to get it replaced and they waived that bill. I highly recommend Koontz for their value and quality.
-
With respect to my roof installation and gutter guards installation: Circumspect attention to detail, professional workmanship, courteous and friendly workers. I highly recommend this company.
-
Under the leadership of PJ Koontz was able to install a new skylight in a rather unusual situation. PJ applied his creativity and made it happen the way we hoped it might turn out. We definitely would recommend Koontz for any project of this kind.
-
Koontz Roofing did a great job completing multiple roof repairs at a reasonable price. I was impressed by their work, professionalism, and pricing. The quality and reasonable pricing from this experience will make future roofing and window replacements needs an easy decision.
-
I've been trying to find someone to do a small siding repair for quite some time. No one seemed to be interested or simply didn't show. Koontz came promptly and gave me a reasonable estimate. Since it was a small job I knew it would take time to work into their schedule. They returned two days later and promptly did the job. Amazing! Thanks so much.
-
We’re extremely happy with the work of the Koontz roofers. The were diligent and fast working, paying attention to details. Our plants and bushes were protected and the property was carefully cleaned afterwards. The crew was friendly and communicative. Highly professional at every level!
-
What a great crew and responsive manager. Thanks Julio for a job well done!!
-
I've used several contractors over the years with varying results. However, the installers from Koontz Roofing were among the very best that have done work on our home. Their workmanship was top notch, and they were very personable as well. We got scheduled quickly and there was no delay getting to the job. Even the payment method was easy. I will recommend Koontz without hesitation and will contact them gain for any other work that comes up for us.
-
A great company with knowledgeable and very personable team members. We are glad we chose them to fix our roof and to weatherize our window and door frames. Julio was easy to work with and we appreciated his experience and advice as we desired to care for our home. We highly recommend this company.
-
We have had an excellent experience working with Koontz Construction. They have always arrived on time, been very professional, and performed high quality work.
-
I turn to Koontz Construction with my exterior house repair needs. Whether it involves the roof, flashing, or other exterior needs, they are the company I trust. They have made quality repairs for me and they have referred me to quality professionals who can solve other needs as the situation arises. I am thankful for Josh and Sherry and their team at Koontz.
-
I would highly recommend Koontz Construction. They flashed the windows and replaced siding when a deck was removed. I am pleased about the work performed.
-
I am extremely pleased with the roofing job done by Koontz construction. Not only was the assignment done well, the crew was considerate in the clean up afterwards. They repaired or replaced elements that were not in the original contract at no extra charge. In addition, when I was not satified with one of the skylights they installed (A manufacture defect, no fault of their own,) they replaced it with a superior one the next business day at no extra charge. I must say that the crew was fast and deserves every cent that they make. I want to add a special thanks to Julio Reyes for going the extra distance and meeting the insurance appraiser when he showed up for the estimates. When the adjustor was seeking the minimum for the partial damage to the roof, Julio negotiated with him enough so that the insurance nearly paid for the entire roof replaced with higher quality shingles. He is an asset to your organization. Not only would I recomend Koontz Construction to anyone reading this, I already have done so to others inquiring about my roof so far. Dwayne and Lori Bishop
-
High quality work and completed efficiently....couldn't be more pleased with the new roof.
-
Communication and workmanship is excellent! The roof and gutters look great. Also the price was affordable. Everyone worked hard from beginning to end. Did a good job cleaning up when finished. Thank you!!
-
When looking at potential roofing contractors, we got bids from three local companies. Koontz Construction got our business because they excelled in three areas: PRODUCT; PROFESSIONALISM; PRICE. In terms of Product: we found Malarky shingles to be superior because they are environmentally friendly (think recycled materials to make the shingles), stronger ( think flexibility and impact resistant) and long lasting (think minimum granular loss and algae resistance). As for Professionalism: our contact person, Julio, was quite helpful. No up-sell, no hype. Just an honest assessment of what we needed and why. The Koontz contract was straight forward, easy to understand and helpful. We were impressed with the work ethic of the crew and their roofing skills Price was our third and last consideration. All three bids were comparable, but the Koontz price was by far the best in terms of no hidden fees or unreasonable charges for unanticipated fixes Koontz Construction excels in Product, Professionalism and Price
-
We had several recommendations to use Koontz Construction when a wind storm took down major swaths of our house siding. We're very glad we did! The price was better than expected so we decided to replace siding on the whole house rather than just the affected areas. The staff and installers couldn't have been nicer. The office staff was very responsive and the installers were careful to avoid trampling my perennials and did a great job of cleaning up once the job was finished. Everyone was polite, professional and FAST. We're looking forward to replacing our roof at some point, now that we know who we'll call.
-
I was impressed at the efficiency of the time and quality of the work performed by Koontz roofing and the windows as well. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting some home improvements done. Allen
-
Quick to set up a consultation, and get the work I needed done in a cost efficient way. Couldn’t have been easier to work with! Brandon, Thanks so much!!!!
-
Koontz did an absolutely wonderful job with my skylight (upstairs study) and solar tube (kitchen). It is amazing how much natural light I have that I didn‘t have before. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast and efficient they were: They did it all on one day (plus the next morning for interior work). The price struck me as reasonable, although I confess that I don‘t know what other companies charge. If I ever need another skylight in the future I won‘t hesitate to contact Koontz. Excellent workmanship!
-
Koontz has built my deck, replaced my roof, and resided my house. They have also installed a door. They do excellent work and are very responsive to details. They make sure the warranties are handled correctly. I don’t know what more you’d want from a construction company. They will be back to do more work at our place whenever we need anything done and done right.
-
We have used Koontz roofing for personal and business roofing jobs. They have always completed the work in a professional and consistent manner. When our house was struck by high winds, we called Koontz to come look at our roof and siding. They completed the work timely. When we subsequently found roof damage after a tree was removed from the roof, we called Koontz and they came out within a day and fixed the damage.
-
We used Koontz Construction for roof of our business showroom, Räke Cabinet and Countertop Solutions, and they were punctual, professional and provided us with a high quality roof.
-
Josh and Crew are Very Professional, as a Materials supplier I get asked all the time, who would you recommend. I tell them the same Guy I used for my Roof repair. they are great to work with, you will not be disappointed.
-
My overall experience with Koontz construction was excellent. The employees are great and their work is proof of that. Josh Koontz ,the owner, spoke with me directly about the issues of my roof damage, the choices I had for repairs, and helped me to decide what the choice for me would be. Once the choice was made, he allowed me to use a payment plan. Thank you Sherry for your patient assistance with this! They are prompt. They do the job right, they do it in a timely manner! Thanks again, for a superior experience!
-
I have been in business for 26 years. I have used Koontz Construction for roofing. They do an excellent job. They are efficient and clean up the job site. I have also painted houses that they have sided. Their siding jobs are very high quality. I will recommend Koontz Construction to everyone.
-
Koontz is very timely in getting out a bid and completing my projects. Their quality and cleanliness on the job site was also great to see. Consider calling them for your roofing or siding projects!
-
After several contractor's that couldn't show up or get back with me on time . I contacted Koontz construction they did what they said they would when they said they would do it. They do a good job and cleaned up the job site good as well.
-
I tried for over a year to get a company to come fix a leak in the side of my house. I had even agreed with 5 different companies to come do the work but no one ever showed up to complete the job. It was refreshing working with Koontz. They communicated very well, quoted, and completed the work in a very timely manner. They were easy to work with and did a great job. As of today, there is no leak! The only concern I had was the bill when I noticed work they didn't have to do still on the bill. If I didn't ask about it I would have paid more then necessary. The great part, however, they didn't even put up fight when I questioned the final bill and adjusted it to reflect the work completed. This does not dampen my opinion of them. I would definitely hire this company again and recommend them to others based on my experience.
-
I had a great experience with Koontz Construction. They repaired my roof and installed new siding after my house was damaged by a tree. They did an excellent job on everything. Josh was so great to work with. He was easy to communicate with by phone and email and was always on time when we met. He was knowledgeable and helpful. Plus a pleasant guy to deal with. The price was within the insurance estimate. There was no downside at all. I was lucky to find Koontz Construction and I highly recommend them.
-
The quality of work was beyond exceptional. I recommend this company to anyone needing the services they perform. You won't be disappointed.
-
Had Koontz repair my siding so that I could have it painted. They were prompt, fast, fairly priced, and did great work. Highly recommended!
-
Koontz Roofing did a lot more than just repair our roof. They walked us through our options when we first called them about a leak. They were extremely honest about what shape our roof was in (we might get a few more years out of it) and our gutters and downspouts. While we could have gotten patched, our roof was within a few years of needing replaced and there were indications that soft spots on a highly pitched part of our roof would need help with the next hail storm. Indiana is unpredictable and Koontz gave us great options and were able to get the whole job done promptly at a great price. I would call them again!
-
Very professional, timely and thorough. Helped me with what I needed, NOT what they wanted to "sell". Have and will recommend them highly!
-
Great communication and excellent service! Thanks for your help with our roof. We would recommend your business to friends and family. The Morrows residence.
-
Koontz Roofing was awesome. They were efficient, CLEAN and super friendly. I was at work when they replaced my roof and I didn’t even know they had been at my house. The clean up was unbelievable, not one shingle or nail to be found. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks!!!
-
As a long distance owner of rental property my biggest concern is when we need a repair and I'm too far away to do the work or even see first had what the problem is. I am at the mercy of what ever company I pick. I'm worried if I can trust what is being done and if I will get a fair price. Koontz Roofing has done several repairs for me over the years. They are consistently quick. Their commitment to quality, fair pricing and professionalism enable me to breath easy knowing that I will be well taken care of. I would highly recommend their services. Thanks guys!!!
-
Koontz, is top notch in my opinion. They have done my roof and guttering and most recently 2 very large patio doors. One of those was on an upper level with no stairs going up to it. If there are any issues after they finish, they promptly get them taken care of. I have recommended them to several people and will continue to do so. Another thing I like is that someone actually answers the phone when you call! Even if Sherri is gone, it still gets answered. Oh, and the owner is a super nice guy!
-
A great group of people that will work hard to make sure you are pleased with their quality work. They have done several home improvement jobs for me and I will definitely use them to replace my roof when the time comes!
-
I am so pleased with the quality and appearance of my new roof. And equally as pleased at the professionalism of the crew. As soon as they pulled into my driveway they "hit the ground running". Customer Service at its best!
-
After some hail damage earlier in 2019, we needed a complete roofing replacement, but the first contractor we had been dealing with was unable to match the insurance estimator’s proposal. The contractor who had built our house recommended Koontz Roofing, and I’m very glad I got in touch with them. Not only were they able to come-in within the proposed budget, but they undertook and completed the re-roofing later the same week. (I should emphasize that it is a very large roof with numerous peaks and valleys.) We’re very glad we went with Koontz. They were courteous and professional and did a great job. A neighbor remarked to us that our new roof "looks awesome", and we wholeheartedly agree.
-
We recently used Koontz to help us with a siding repair on our newly purchased home. They were quick to respond and quickly got us in the schedule and the repair completed and in a economical way. Thank you Koontz! Jennifer Crites & Jeff O’Hart
-
I hired Koontz to replace my mom's roof. They did a fantastic job and the whole thing looks great. There were a couple of minor problems.. the sort of stuff that comes up in most major construction projects... but they resolved them quickly and without much trouble. I will be coming to them first when it's time to do my own roof.
-
My wife and I were lookimg to replace a roof which we knew was in need of repairs. I called Koontz and Josh came out promptly and gave me a reasonable estimate. He explained what all we would get for the quoted amount and then gave me some dates to chose from for completion of the work, once we had agreed to the terms. His crew was fast and curteous and completed the asphalt portion of the roof the first day. The metal portion of the roof took a few extra days but the results were worth it. It looks great and more importantly it protects our family's greatest asset from the elements.
-
We were very pleased with Koontz. They were professional, and the roof looks great. They were especially careful to not damage my landscaping or my flower beds, as they put saw horses and tarps over my perennials. The clean up afterwards was minimal- and they were FAST. It was a very good job.
-
We were in need of a complete new siding. Our old siding was about 30 years old and was full of woodpecker and carpenter bee holes as well as splitting and cracking which is inherent with cedar. I literally picked Koontz out of the phone book and asked for an estimate. The person came out and worked with me for over 7 months in order to get the right material and the right time to do the job. Workmen arrived when they said they would, the job was finished on time and with a wonderful result. I couldn't have been more delighted with the finished product.
-
I had a tree limb punch a hole through my roof. Koontz came very highly recommended by several people in my community, so I gave them a call. I was shocked & thrilled by the estimate- much lower than I had anticipated. They were able to finish the roof & install the guttering while I was at work. I came home to a beautiful new roof and new gutters. There was very little debris left behind, the house looks great, and it didn't break me. The people I spoke to were friendly & helpful. I definitely recommend Koontz Construction. Thank you for making my house look like new!
-
They were easy to get a hold of and they sent me a quote quickly. They did good job for a reasonable price. I would definitely suggest Koontz Roofing to others.
-
Always a pleasure doing business with Koontz Roofing. They have always treated me professionally. They are at the top of my list when I am asked for a recommendation for a top quality roofing company. They are reliable, trustworthy and do a fantastic job cleaning up before they leave. Thanks Koontz Construction!
-
The staff that I have met have been a pleasure to work with. You never know sometimes what you are getting when you hire a contractor, but the Koontz team has always been professional, courteous and attentive to all the details that make you trust them with the process and give peace of mind on all the projects they are hired to perform.
-
Oh, my! Couldn't be happier with Koontz Roofing. Our roof had a number of different challenges, and Koontz met them all, with timely, high quality work. Just very pleased. Highly recommended.
-
The team at Koontz Construction is built of amazing people. They provide excellent customer service, they are highly professional, they're honest, and reliable, trustworthy, and dependable. I had been dealing with a small leak for years off & on since a sun porch was added to the back of the house & had several different contractors who had performed different repairs but it would eventually come back. It got worse recently & Koontz Construction was recommended to me. They came to inspect quickly and discovered the source around the chimney & a small hole in the decking everyone else had missed! Hooray! It was repaired in a very timely manner and at reasonable cost. I have had absolutely NO more leaks even with heavy rain and storms! I highly recommend them for their knowledge and expertise in diagnosing the problem and performing the work at a reasonable price.

I was in desperate need of help. With a relatively new roof, I developed a serious leak due to poor workmanship and my living room ceiling was about to collapse. Julio, with Koontz Construction, had me set up within two weeks with a new roof and drywall repair. I really appreciate their help.

They replaced my windows and siding, dealt efficiently with some structural issues that appeared once the old siding was removed, and left everything clean and neat. They also installed two skylights in my home. They were professional and dependable, and did excellent work.

I had a new roof installed on our home. The price was fair and exactly what I was quoted with no hidden costs. P.J helped us out by advising what color shingles would look best with the color of our house and Julio was very good with communicating what would be done in the process of the repair and the amount of time it would take. The quality of their products, craftsmanship, and professionalism is outstanding! I will definitely use Koontz with any future repairs or upgrades!
