Koontz replaced my leaky skylights which had begin to damage my roof and did an EXCELLENT job in the worst heat we've experienced this year. They are professional and courteous and describe in detail their estimates of what will be done. I highly recommend them!

We had Koontz re-shingle our roof and install several skylights and a solar tube. Julio and the crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. The crew worked hard and performed the job in a very reasonable amount of time despite inclement weather. The job was complicated by the fact that we have solar panels on the roof and we had to coordinate their removal by another company before the roofing and skylight replacement could take place. The coordination worked seamlessly. The job was further complicated by the fact that when the panels were removed several years of leaf litter and squirrel nesting was revealed. Julio and the crew cleaned all the debris off the roof and subsequently cleaned it all from around the house as well! Some of the roof sheathing was damaged and they replaced it with new material as well as some edging that was apparently undersized and had to be remade in their shop. All in all they did an excellent job and the new roof looks great. We can recommend them whole heartedly and with no reservations.

Koontz Roofing replaced our 30-year-old roof and 6 skylights in 12 hours one Wednesday. We chose them because Julio was the most persuasive sales rep I've ever encountered -- fully informed, upbeat, helpful samples, no rush, great attitude -- and also had persuaded us that Malarkey shingles, ecologically good (recycled rubber I think, and long-lasting), were better than the alternative offered by two other bids (I also googled later, and googlers agreed). The price was in line with the other bids. Julio offered references, including addresses so I could see colors in real life, and they all raved about him, the company, the results. He went back and forth with me about whether and how many skylights to replace and why -- very patient. After some to-and-fro with Adam about scheduling, to accommodate weather and my needing a quiet day to host a Zoom, the office sent a helpful sheet of "no surprises" tips on what to expect, and materials were dropped a few days before at a spot in the driveway interfering with nothing. The crew of 12-13 showed up at 7:30 a.m., and they worked nonstop, a well-oiled friendly team. I think Adam was there all day as foreman, and Julio dropped by as well. It was amazing to watch them work, they checked with me a couple of times with judgment calls on trimming bushes for access, the clean-up was phenomenal -- we found ONE nail afterwards --, and we love the results, a gorgeous new roof on house, breezeway, and garage. (Note: "Midnight Black is really a dark mottled gray, as hoped). I highly recommend Koontz Roofing.

Julio is very competent, responsive and courteous. The crew worked diligently and in a disciplined fashion from the moment they arrived until they finished the job the same day. They cleaned the site well before they left.

Koontz was phenomenal. They came to survey, provided a very reasonable estimate within two days, and we scheduled the timing. They came, removed the old roof, installed a new roof with two skylights and a light tunnel over the bathroom and had the work completed in two days. They cleaned everything up. I wish I had to have roof replacements all the time. They made it easy, straightforward and the work is outstanding. I offer the highest recommendation and will use them again.

I am extremely pleased with the roofing job done by Koontz construction. Not only was the assignment done well, the crew was considerate in the clean up afterwards. They repaired or replaced elements that were not in the original contract at no extra charge. In addition, when I was not satified with one of the skylights they installed (A manufacture defect, no fault of their own,) they replaced it with a superior one the next business day at no extra charge. I must say that the crew was fast and deserves every cent that they make. I want to add a special thanks to Julio Reyes for going the extra distance and meeting the insurance appraiser when he showed up for the estimates. When the adjustor was seeking the minimum for the partial damage to the roof, Julio negotiated with him enough so that the insurance nearly paid for the entire roof replaced with higher quality shingles. Koontz did an absolutely wonderful job with my skylight (upstairs study) and solar tube (kitchen). It is amazing how much natural light I have that I didn‘t have before. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast and efficient they were: They did it all on one day (plus the next morning for interior work). The price struck me as reasonable, although I confess that I don‘t know what other companies charge. If I ever need another skylight in the future I won‘t hesitate to contact Koontz. Excellent workmanship!
