We had Koontz fix storm damage to our house (Siding, Gutters, Soffits, Fascia, and two Windows). We chose Koontz because they could replace both the siding and the windows that were damaged. Compared to some of the other Vendors, Koontz is a bit more expensive, but based on experience of the crew that came out for Koontz compared to a different Vendor, the Koontz crew was more professional, did a better job of cleaning up the removal debris and scrap, and had a project manager come out to inspect the work each day.

Koontz construction replaced all 6 of my windows in my condo. They were not standard size and offered multiple options for replacement windows. There was a hiccup with the manufacturer building the wrong window, but Koontz communicated that with me and got the installation perfect in the end. They cleaned up great and made clear what was happening. It took 3 days in total, which was expected (with the last window being built). All the crews were wonderful and they were very polite and great to talk to! I am incredibly happy with their great work and it was worth the upgrade! I can already tell the difference temperature wise and I am extremely excited to open them in the spring / summer. I highly recommend them for window replacements!!!

We recently hired Koontz to fulfill our new vision for our 1980s modern ranch, and we could not be more pleased with the results. Ricardo met with us several times on site and listened carefully to understand the look we wanted to achieve. He answered our many questions professionally and was patient as we made our material choices and requested changes after seeing his mockups of the project. Once we had our plan together, Brandon took charge of organizing the subs who would do the heavy construction and siding replacement. He shared a detailed list of what we should expect during the project and how to prepare our home for the coming weeks of construction. With the exception of a few unexpected delays due to weather, his timeline was spot on. Once our materials arrived, phenomenal construction team of Adam, Adam, and JD arrived to install our new windows and front door. They were always respectful of our home and ran a safe and clean jobsite. We are so pleased with the new windows and door, and how those changes improved the curb appeal of our home. Next the five members of the siding crew began the next phase of the project by replacing our existing siding with stone veneer and new siding. Each morning, they arrived on time and worked in a speedy, but careful efficient manner. They followed our complex siding plan to the letter, and we cannot stress enough their attention to detail and the pride they took in making our home look its best. When we asked for a change (a support post needed to be wrapped), Brandon and the team accommodated our request without hesitation. The gutter team built our new gutters onsite and installed them so quickly, we barely knew they were on the jobsite. When we were curious about how they built the gutters, they were kind enough to take the time to show us how their siding break worked. It was evident they also took pride in their work and enjoyed showing us their tradecraft. Again, we could not be happier with the outcome of the work the Koontz team did for us. We feel as if we have a brand-new home.

We had severe hail damage to our home this summer (softball size). Insurance paid for everything but what was nice Koontz came in under the estimate at $28,000 compared to $32,000 to roof house, garage, barn with a class 4 shingle. Insurance company was quoting a class 3. Not only did we get a new roof but also a better roof than what we had. The team that did the work were fantastic. Worked over 12 hours days and cleaned up each day after their work. Great company to work with.

Following the inspection and purchase of our new home, Koontz replaced our roof. Nate was a great communicator and kept me informed of each step of the process. Koontz Roofing replaced a broken skylight. Besides the skylight they diagnosed a leak in another location. Very professional from the initial estimate where they spent ample time inspecting the flashing and transition from one roof to a flat roof. James was a careful craftsman. His cleanup was complete to a high standard.

Had competent friendly treatment from start to finish, from Cara on the telephone, to Phillip (I believe) who did made the bid on gutter removal and replacement with 6" new gutters, the crew who listened to my concerns patiently and worked knowledgeably and carefully, and the follow-up calls to take care of last minute details. I 100% recommend Koontz roofing. They did a tremendous job. Put the roof on in one day. The roof held up all winter and is still going strong. A wind storm recently dropped a huge branch on it, and there wasn’t a scratch on it. I don’t hand out five stars unless I absolutely mean it. The price was totally reasonable. Zero complaints. Initially they gave me a storm damage estimate, and made a good impression, but another company did the work for that job. I was in a flurry! When another roof issue came up, I decided to try Koontz rather than the other company, which was not completely local as I later found. Sometimes the larger corporate outfits are not so good in some ways. These guys at Koontz are nice and smart and they are local and responsive to the customer. I would definitely employ them again. It is important to have trust in one's roof!

Koontz replaced the ridgeline on my roof after damage from a severe windstorm. They went out of their way to communicate clearly and get the project done quickly and efficiently. They even repaired some damage by a raccoon or other critter to the flashing around the chimney at no extra cost!

I was referred to Koontz by a local builder after 2 trees fell on the corner of my house (damaging a portion of the roof and gutters). Josh came as soon as he could to assess the damage. Extremely pleased with the completion time and quality of work, as well as the cost. Highly recommend and will use them in the future if needed!

We had a leaky window and another contractor recommended Koontz, since we needed someone who could pull off the siding to identify the source of the leak. Brandon came out and did find some water damage around the window frame and assured us that they could help with the situation. When the team came to install the new window, they found significant rot and also some structural issues - more than anyone anticipated - across the full south side of our home. We had to pivot quickly to navigate several changes to the project and Koontz helped with that. They coordinated work well with our other contractor, as structural issues and termite damage were addressed. Long story short: the Koontz project went from replacing one window and some framing, to installing flashing over a rubber roof, four new windows and a new sliding door, and replacing the siding. Then we decided to replace the gutters in order to avoid future water damage as well. Our installation team was wonderful - Mike and Adam demonstrated a strong work ethic and genuine care for us and our home. They cleaned up their worksite with every visit. We had a little problem with our new sliding door and they were out quickly to address it. Estimates for the work were all in line; communication was good from start to finish. I recommend Koontz without hesitation.

Arrived early and prepared our yard for the tear off. Had old roof removed in 1 hr and onto the new one. The crew was polite and worked very hard in the heat. Julio was easy to work with, inspected the old roof thoroughly to diagnose the problems, and followed through on the new roof installation in a timely manner. Koontz re-roofed our home last month and the entire experience was pleasingly uneventful. Nate was on time to estimate our job and actually got up on the roof to take a look. He was very responsive and made a second trip out to help us select the right shingle color. He said we'd hear from the crew in a few weeks and we did -- they committed to a day and they were there on time as they said. The crew was pleasant, hard working and cleaned up amazingly well. We are pleased with the work and it looks great. Sometimes 'boring' is a good thing - and this one went about as smoothly as one could ask! Would recommend.

Removed aol old composite siding and plywood soffits, repaired bad underlayment, installed new vinyl siding, all new soffits, and replaced 14 old windows. My home is much warmer and is beautiful! Hard working team. I would strongly recommend to anyone.

I called Koontz Roofing the day after high winds blew six pieces of vinyl siding off of my house and left two other pieces half on and half off. Within an hour or so, the office informed me I would receive a call the next day, probably from Brandon. Sure enough, he called me at 9:53 and arrived ten minutes later. After assessing the situation, which required climbing a ladder to the roof of the garage, he re-attached the siding in less than an hour. He was professional, efficient, and friendly. He even gave me a referral to a mason for some patch work that needs to be done to the brick facing on the front of the house. I was quoted a minimum charge of $350 for coming to the house and received an invoice in that amount by email a day later. Because of the responsiveness and professionalism, I will call Koontz in the future should the need arise. Lastly, I should add that a few other companies I called couldn't come to the house until the following week, but only to give me an estimate. The fact that the siding repair by Koontz occurred in less than 24 hours was impressive and alleviated my concerns about heavy rain that was expected later in the week which, in fact, did happen.

Koontz construction went above and beyond for me and my family. Julio is amazing and really looks out for his customers, the whole process was explained well and they had great follow up during the whole process. Koontz installed new roof and gutters on my house. I would recommend them over anybody in the Bloomington or Ellettsville area!!!

Good work at a good price

Koontz was recommended to me by a friend to check out a problem with some siding on our house. They responded to my call the same day, and had someone out to assess that day. The siding work was completed within the week at a reasonable cost. When I called with questions, the person who did the repairs contacted me that day and answered all my questions. I highly recommend them.
