I'm happy I used Houseworks Daylighting Solutions to replace 2 skylights in my family room. I went on the Velux website and got bids from 4 companies that Velux showed as certified installers. Houseworks was the only 5 star Signature Skylight Specialist out of the 4. While Houseworks wasn't the cheapest, they weren't the most expensive, and I wanted to be sure to hire the best company. I'm glad I did. Mark, the sales rep was was very good. He got me setup to have them replaced the next week. On installation day, the installers David and Julio tarped my floors and furniture and put plastic to protect the walls. It was a very windy day so it was challenging for them, but they got the job done. They did a great job on the roof, I cannot even tell the difference in the shingle repair. They were very careful on the inside and did not damage the ceiling, which I am grateful for. When they were finished, they cleaned up inside and out, and showed me how to operate the remote control blinds. Then the 3 of us did a walk around to be sure everything was done to my satisfaction and cleaned up. I will be using this company next year when I need to replace 3 more skylights.

I’ve just recently had my skylights put in Mark was my sales person very easy to deal with we discussed what needed to be done. They set up a date for me. They sent a reminder as to when they would be coming out and two very nice gentleman Julio and George came out to install my skylights, they’ve done a wonderful job. Great job! I run a religious organization's buildings. They came out, won the quote, set a date, showed up on time. Said hello, went to work, saw them just before they finished. No fuss, no questions, finished skylight looks and works great.

Nine Skylights were replaced with wireless opening and closing capability; with rain auto-closing on five; and wireless shades on the other four. The work crew did all in three days working in hot weather and between rain storms. They replaced shingles as needed and the cleanup was exceptional. The crew trimmed the sheet rock where needed. Very satisfied customer.

We hired Houseworks to install a new skylight in our townhouse stairway. They were excellent from start to finish. They recommended a larger skylight (for small additional cost) than what we were looking for, which worked out great. Their installer Tom showed up early and preped the inside to begin the job. After the job was completed you couldn't tell that we had work done because of how clean it was, Tom was awesome. Don was an exceptional sales rep. Very knowledgeable & responsive. We called to get a quote & within a week had our skylights installed in one day. The two installers were professional.

Housework was referred to me by family that had used them in the past for new skylights. Even though I had a small job of just replacing one existing skylight they were quick to set up an estimate visit and had installation scheduled within a week. Techs were polite, (I was able to continue virtual meetings during the install), done quickly and left my house as clean as it was prior to their visit. Highly recommend.

First off, they were very prompt every step of the way, from the initial job bid all the way through to the end. We recently had our skylights replaced after a roof replacement. Everyone that I had contact with from the sales representative, the office, and the installers were friendly and professional. Our new skylights and shades look great. They kept in contact. There was a minor issue on the day of the install related to our existing skylights, and before I was aware, they had a solution and plan to move forward. I would definitely recommend Houseworks.

Mark Becker is a true pro , he spec'd the best skylight for the project , he is fantastic to work with. Mark (the installer ) did a perfect job installing the skylight. You are crazy to try and look elsewhere to find a skylight installer.

Their work was so good we recently selected them again for what will be replacement of multiple skylights in our new home. We figured when getting the new roof it would be perfect time to add a couple of skylights to another dark area of our home. Figuring all of that out was a headache when dealing with various roofers and I was getting frustrated...until I found these fine folks and once I did find them all of my skylight confusion was gone -- magically. They made the process painless took the time to explain our options and why they were best-suited for the job. This is all they do - and it shows because their work is fantastic. Back to their recommendations - they made recommendations that were not even on my radar (hello tax credit and holy cow, Sun Tunnels are ahhh-mazing for small areas!). We ended up replacing the damaged skylights which were manual with solar-powered ones, with a gateway that makes them SUPER-skylights and decided to wait on the installation of new ones in the other area of our home. I wanted to have some time with the replacement skylights before making the decision which type of skylights to add. A Sun Tunnel was also suggested since they are pretty surprisingly cost effective - a Big Bang for your buck. And boy are they! Communication was second-to-none and every single person from those in the office, to sales to the installer were amazing. They bent over backwards when our roof replacement was delayed due to rain and we had to postpone the original install date to get us on the schedule within a reasonable amount of time. These folks are at the top of my list as far as contractors go. Zero disappointments...and that's not often a thing with contractors. I'm certain we'll be working with them again in the next year...I'm so grateful to have found them.

Excellenct company. They replaced a skylight and added a roof window for me. They know how to properly install, insulate and add the drywall for the new window. They were always professional, courteous and responsive. Would recommend.

I had Houseworks Daylighting Solutions of Clive, Iowa install my second skylight yesterday. I can't say enough good things about them. First, it's simply astonishing how the extra light from above transforms a room--in fact, the ambient light from the two skylights has now raised the entire second floor to a new level of beauty. Owner Lee Collins takes the time to visit and to understand exactly what I wanted; installer Seth Keller is a practical and meticulous artist. Brilliant work, brilliant light!

I was very pleased with the work accomplished. The sales representative was very knowledgeable and professional but never pushy. On the day of the install rotten plywood was encountered around the skylight, it was replaced and the final product was amazing. I've worked with Houseworks Daylighting Solutions last year to replace my skylights. It was a significant project and a fairly complicated one given the specific architecture of our house. I've received 3 quotes from 3 different vendors. In addition to sending his installers to survey our house, an estimater whom I've met with afterwards on a separate occasion, the owner of the company himself came out to my house personally 3 times throughout the duration of the project, to ensure the proper assessment and specific planning on how the skylights were to be installed. Some of the skylights were professionally stained (additional cost)first prior to installation. The preparation that this company put into the project was what sold me. I am a particular individual with discriminating taste, and I have to say that Houseworks Daylighting Solutions was excellent. The team was very professional and punctual.
