Installation Process
Expert installation made easy.
VELUX® skylight systems and Sun Tunnel® Skylights can be installed in flat or vaulted ceilings in two worry-free phases: rooftop and interior. The pros will recommend where skylight systems should be installed, so you can reap the maximum benefit from the natural light and fresh air they provide.
Installation Types
The Room
VELUX-trained pros will come inside for interior finish work and possible painting. If you have a flat ceiling, your installer will use drywall or other finish material to build a shaft from the skylight to direct the daylight into the room. This phase takes around half a day per skylight.
The Rooftop
VELUX-trained pros will cut a hole and fasten the VELUX skylight to the roof with three layers of protection to prevent leaks. Depending on the circumstances such as roof pitch and weather, the rooftop phase can take between one and three days.

The Room
VELUX-trained pros will cut a hole in the ceiling to install the lower portion of the reflective tube between the roof and ceiling.
The Rooftop
VELUX-trained pros will cut a hole in the roof and install the top collar, the upper portion of the reflective tunnel, the lens and the flashing.

The Room
There may be a small amount of interior drywall work depending on your replacement situation, but the majority of the replacement process will take place on the roof.

The best home contractors I've ever done business with. The job itself, two skylights in a room that needed the roof reframed, went smoothly and flawlessly. They handled all carpentry and roof work quickly and masterfully. Three working days and I had the finished room. They were intelligent and honest about what was and wasn't feasible, including advising against projects that would have harmed my house. Every question I asked, they answered promptly. They were transparent about pricing, which was all very reasonable. My living room is completely transformed; previously dark and unpleasant, it's now bright and full of life and energy. Skylights are a wonderful home addition, and these guys are the best team I can imagine to hire.

Really enjoyed our experience. The guy came out, looked at our skylight and without even getting on our roof knew the size of the skylight. He sent the quote that night and a week later (when we were ready, the team came and replaced the skylight, flashing and roofing around the skylight. Such a seamless easy experience. Very little mess and the guys were amazing! Also, I received a quote from another company and this one was much better by almost $500.

Nothing but good things to say about Circle City Skylights. Randy did an excellent job of communicating with me through every step of the process to replace my three (3) leaking skylights. The crew that completed the job were polite, thorough and made sure the inside of my house was kept clean. I always appreciate a contractor who offers to take their shoes off before walking on my carpet! The entire area under each of my skylight was completely covered so no debris fell onto my floors. My install was in February and they made sure to keep all the doors to the rooms closed so I didn't need to turn off my heat. My new skylights look great, now I just need to caulk and paint the interior trim to finish everything up. FYI, if you're looking for more reviews check them out on Angi as well.

We were impressed with everything about the job that was done replacing our worn our skylights. The price was reasonable, the work was done quickly. The area of shingles that needed to be replaced on the roof for to install the new windows is indistinguishable from the original roofing. As important as anything else, the contractor was pleasant to deal with and was able to answer any questions.

When it came time to replace our 27 year old roof we decided to get more daylight into our rather dark Great Room. I wanted to add a Velux skylight like the 27 year old one in our Master Bath. Upon consultation with the only 5 Star Velux Sales Representative in Central Indiana we added 3 beautifully placed smaller skylights to the room and included solar light filtering blinds with them. Randy the sales representative coordinated all the installation details with the roofing contractor. The Circle City installers, Dave, Jason, and Jeff were outstanding in taking care of the inside and outside details of the 3 new skylights. The room was totally transformed from "dark" to "light and airy". We also had them replace the 27 year old Master Bath Skylight. All interior and exterior items were well done with high quality workmanship. We couldn’t be happier!
