Installation Process
Expert installation made easy.
VELUX® skylight systems and Sun Tunnel® Skylights can be installed in flat or vaulted ceilings in two worry-free phases: rooftop and interior. The pros at M&M Skylights Nashua will recommend where skylight systems should be installed, so you can reap the maximum benefit from the natural light and fresh air they provide.
Installation Types
The Room
VELUX-trained pros will come inside for interior finish work and possible painting. If you have a flat ceiling, your installer will use drywall or other finish material to build a shaft from the skylight to direct the daylight into the room. This phase takes around half a day per skylight.
The Rooftop
VELUX-trained pros will cut a hole and fasten the VELUX skylight to the roof with three layers of protection to prevent leaks. Depending on the circumstances such as roof pitch and weather, the rooftop phase can take between one and three days.

The Room
VELUX-trained pros will cut a hole in the ceiling to install the lower portion of the reflective tube between the roof and ceiling.
The Rooftop
VELUX-trained pros will cut a hole in the roof and install the top collar, the upper portion of the reflective tunnel, the lens and the flashing.

There may be a small amount of interior drywall work depending on your replacement situation, but the majority of the replacement process will take place on the roof.

They really know their product! Quick to come out and look at my issue (leaky skylight) and give us a quote - very informative as well. Quick turnaround time to get the new skylight installed. We recently needed to replace our solar shades for our Velux skylights and had M&M Skylights do that job. After looking up the product information, they ordered the parts and everything was installed on schedule as planned. The entire process took less than two hours and they were very conscientious of our furniture and flooring (given the skylights were 16 ft high). Afterward, I received all the paperwork so that I could submit our data to get the solar credit (30%). Our previous solar shades lasted 10 years so I'm hoping these will last as long. I recommend M&M for servicing Velux products.

What a great experience from beginning to end! The quote was fast and everything was explained as to options, features, etc. After deciding on the skylights the scheduling was easy and on the timeline as promised. The installation was on time, very professional with no mess and everything as to the operation of the skylights was explained very well. The quality of the skylights is outstanding as well. I highly recommend M&M Skylights for any new installs, replacements or retrofits.

Highly Recommend. We replaced 3 30+ year old Velux skylights with newer equivalents. Workers arrived on time, worked efficiently, and kept things clean (used floor mats, vacuumed up interior debris, swept exterior areas with a magnet). The installation was done expertly and repairs were made beyond what was originally described to fix some interior water damage around the openings of the older windows. All new window features were clearly explained and demoed. The installation team worked well together and made a clear effort to ensure all completed work was noticeably above average.

From the start everything went well. The person giving the quote, the lady in the office, and the guys doing the install were all polite and responsive. The installers were on time, polite, and did good work. I am happy with my choice to go with M&M Skylights. Also the online portal for viewing and paying the quote was nice and made paying the deposit and the final bill easy to do.

I hired M&M Skylights to investigate and repair a roof leak above our kitchen. They were on time, professional as always, and spent the day removing old siding/water shield/roofing materials. They were meticulous with placing a new ice and water shield, as well as new cedar siding. We could not be happier with this company. We have hired them twice this year and wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again!

The experience with M&M Skylights was very good from the sales person to the install. Two things that were disappointing were the nails and shingles that were left in my yard but the biggest issue was when paying the invoice there was an option to tip the installers. The minimum was 10% out of an almost 7K bill! I did not elect to "tip" 3 people $700 for 3 1/2 hours of work. They were great guys and I fed them scones and gave them water. Please pay your employees a fair wage and don't expect customers to do so. I would recommend this company, we love our skylights and the service that we received. I would have given 5 stars if these 2 issues didn't happen.

Very professional. They did a very nice job replacing 2 skylights that were leaking including patching the interior wall. Courteous, friendly installers, and they fully cleaned up the site after the installation.

M&M did a fantastic job on our skylight. The guys were super polite, clean, and really quick. Plus the order came in way before we expected so it was a nice surprise. We now have a huge skylight that opens and has a shade.
