Installation Process
Expert installation made easy.
VELUX® skylight systems and Sun Tunnel® Skylights can be installed in flat or vaulted ceilings in two worry-free phases: rooftop and interior. The pros at Elite Roofing, LLC will recommend where skylight systems should be installed, so you can reap the maximum benefit from the natural light and fresh air they provide.
Installation Types
The Room
VELUX-trained pros will come inside for interior finish work and possible painting. If you have a flat ceiling, your installer will use drywall or other finish material to build a shaft from the skylight to direct the daylight into the room. This phase takes around half a day per skylight.
The Rooftop
VELUX-trained pros will cut a hole and fasten the VELUX skylight to the roof with three layers of protection to prevent leaks. Depending on the circumstances such as roof pitch and weather, the rooftop phase can take between one and three days.

The Room
VELUX-trained pros will cut a hole in the ceiling to install the lower portion of the reflective tube between the roof and ceiling.
The Rooftop
VELUX-trained pros will cut a hole in the roof and install the top collar, the upper portion of the reflective tunnel, the lens and the flashing.

The Room
There may be a small amount of interior drywall work depending on your replacement situation, but the majority of the replacement process will take place on the roof.

I just wanted to thank Mike at Elite Roofing for being so helpful when I needed to replace my two skylights and a solar tube. He worked with me (and my budget!) to get me a good price and exactly what I needed. The two young men that installed them did a great job and now I have a beautiful view of the sky installed by a company I would highly recommend.

I realized I needed to replace my roof and the skylight. I had a couple friends recommend Elite Roofing and when others at church or the food bank (where I volunteer) ask who I had decided to go with, I said Elite Roofing. All agreed it was an excellent decision. The materials they use are top of the line and professionalism is beyond question at all levels. While I contracted them in January for a March 15 date for installation, they showed up at 7:15 and were finished by 5 PM on March 15th. While it was windy and cold in the morning, they pushed on. They protected my EZ-breeze sunroom panels with sheets of plywood and several windows. All the plantings near the house were covered with tarps. The workman ship was excellent and the whole process was painless. The word "elite" fits this company well. You would not go wrong with Elite Roofing of Aberdeen!

On a cloudless 90+ summer day, old roof was stripped and new roof installed including skylight; all work done in one day, all debris cleaned up; foreman and all crew were professional and worked hard on a very hot humid day leaving behind a very satisfied customer

Communication needs to be improved. Replaced roof and went fine. Apparently there was an issue with the flashing around the skylights and had to be redone 3 days later. There was absolutely no communication about the redo ... or even when they were going to start initially. I had 10 ladies at my home when they did the 'redo'. ... material falling all over my CLEAN floor and workers singing. Couldn't hear each other talk. This frustration could have been avoided with one phone call.

I’m so impressed by Tony Sr and his team! We had a simple job, replace two skylights. We have just remodeled two bathrooms and each needed a new skylight. We were scheduled to have them done and rain was forecasted for that day and we called to reschedule as we were concerned about replacing the skylights during the rain. We were completely surprised that two team members from Elite showed up this morning and quickly replaced the two skylights! My wife was ecstatic. What professionalism these two workers displayed! Ok to work with....minor repairs and replace 2 skylights. Did not finish trimming inside, called, no response. Cannot recommend.

I came to Elite Roofing to get the roof replaced on my home. I had been told they were very reliable and unlike most roofers they had a showroom and were licensed and bonded. Then I meet Tony senior, it was at that point I wanted them to replace my roof. COVID-19 complicated the entire process because the plant that manafactures the shingles shut down for two weeks and then reopened at fifty precent strenth. But both Tony junor and Tony senior told me not to worry. The day the crew showed up they had the old roof off in a couple of hours and the new roof was done by 3:30pm. It looks amazing. I also had them install two of the Sun Tunnel in my living room. I was surprised at just how much light this brought into the room. I highly recommend both the Sun Tunnels and Elite Roofing.
