Following a windstorm earlier this year, we needed to find a contractor to perform roofing repairs. I found DryHome on a neighborhood website and was impressed with their ratings so contacted them. They responded quickly and sent a wonderful, polite person (Mike) to do the inspection and discuss our options. He explained every aspect of the work that would be needed, but also WHY the work was necessary. I contacted my insurance company, submitted a claim and got the repair underway. The day work began, DryHome showed up in force with a large team. They began early that morning and were done by the time we arrived home from work, and the roof looked incredible. Now, there are plenty of roofing contractors out there who can put up a beautiful roof on your home but what makes DryHome different was their professional integrity and dedication to their client. Their customer service comes from a bygone era when one’s word and reputation was more important than profit. Their expertise dealing with insurance companies turned out to be a key factor. Where many roofing contractors would accept an insurance company’s initial monetary proposal, DryHome went to bat FOR ME. I usually don’t write reviews, in this case I need to write one for Mike and Team. I looked up DRY Home along with a few other local companies for my Roof replacement due to weather related damage and having to deal with insurance claims process. Mike from DryHome was very honest and upfront with me through out the whole process and did not have me sign locking contracts upfront and he was very transparent. He helped me through the process the whole way to get approvals and to get a very good roofing product and installation crew. I am very happy customer with the overall DryHome service experience and the install.

From the time Jim came to do the estimate, to the final inspection and all the time in between, I really felt like they all cared (billing person, scheduler, installers, etc). Dry home replaced our roof and I would give a rating of 4.7. Good salesman who visited us a few times to advise options and provided cost estimate quickly. Scheduling the installation was easy and project executed very good. The only issue is that the damage done to the sidings of the dormers were more than expected. Parts of the sidings were rotted because of age but some good parts were torn off during the installation. It's ok, as we have planned to replace the siding already. Cleaning after installation can be better. There were quite a few nails around the house and there were a lot of asphalt pieces in the gutter that we have to clean out later. Dry home replaced the dormer sidings and I would give a rating of 5. Good salesman who visited us a few times and provided several options to replaced our worn out dormer sidings. Installation on the days that's appropriate for us. The technician who did the Installation was very experienced and with good workmanship. Installation was very good and the new sidings look just like what we want. Clean up afterwards was very good.

We had DryHome come and perform a roof repair to address a water leak. They came out and quickly diagnosed the problem. The cost of the repair was reasonable and the time to repair the leak was prompt. I definitely would consider using them in the future - be it for a leak or to replace our roof.

DryHome Roofing & Siding were okay, but could've been better, especially with their communication. They timely came out and inspected my roof and timely gave the results of the free inspection. The actual roof work looks to be good, but since I'm not an expert in this, I've got to take their word and assume everything was done correctly. My issues though, were they tried to do the work with snow on my roof. I told them it was going to be an issue and I would contact them when my roof was clear. However, the project manager said they would be able to handle everything, snow wasn't going to be a problem. Day of, crew came out and set up everything and started doing some work. The project manager was not there. I closed my door, and let the crew be. They don't need me watching them, when I'm not an expert on this. 45 min later, my door bell rings, and answer my door to a large truck with my shingles and wood, yet the crew that was their previously is gone. Everything they set up, gone. No one told me they were leaving. I called Project manager and asked what is going on, he said because of snow on my roof and backyard they couldn't proceed with the work. The same thing I had told him earlier in the week. Any issues, I should've been called by Project Manager first and way before the crew left, not me calling him. He tells me to tell driver of large truck to leave and not drop off shingles. Only to be contacted a few hours later by Project manger and be there for shingles and wood to be dropped off later that day. So basically it was a wasted day for me. A few days later the work was completed, but the Project manager I had been talking to, wasn't there, and some other Project Manager was there, but after further inspection later that same day they completed the work, I noticed they had left(tar/pieces of shingles, etc) on my neighbors siding and asked them to come back out the next day to clean the mess they left. They said they would come back 6 days later and clean it and do final inspection. This was a one person job and should've been done right away. It wasn't like I wanted a whole crew to come out. Due to weather that got delayed(which I understand), but then it was scheduled for a week later to come back out. A week later, no reminder that they are coming out and it's raining, the Project manager came out cleaned my neighbors siding and did final inspection. But only reason I knew someone came out, was I noticed my neighbors siding had been cleaned. At least send me a text. No paperwork was left for me regarding the final inspection. I had to request this the next day after I received the final bill. So good company, but they need to work on their communication, if they want to keep their 5 star rating in the future.

The quality work done by the crew was simply excellent and they were very attentive to some follow up requests I had once the work had concluded. Beyond the stellar work done by the crew, I wanted to shout out Zach from DryHome for the extremely personal touch he gave us while assisting with the insurance process. His work on our behalf and genuine friendliness was so sincerely appreciated. While at some points the frequency of communication stalled out and our project occasionally had a few lengthy delays outside of our control, overall we were super happy with the end result and would still rate this a 5 star experience. I needed an old, leaking skylight replaced. The experience with Dry Home was great from the first phone call through installation and clean up. The crew was professional, courteous, and obviously quite skilled. Despite the frigid temperatures, they were very efficient. Mike Weber of DryHome helped us navigate the frustrating insurance process and reduced our out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum for our roof. The extra work on a new set of gutters and gutter guards, like the roof, was very reasonably priced and done beautifully. The crew arrived on time and finished the work in one day. Completed our repair job quickly and noticed we had our dryer vent covered by a grid, which was against code, and removed it. He also sealed where needed. If you have any Velux windows that need repair these are absolutely the best place to go in the Washington DC area. We had three Velux windows side-by-side in a gently sloping roof that were aging (about 30 years, believe it or not) and one was beginning to show small leak. These guys (Beny and all) are real experts in Velux windows and we replaced all three at a reasonable cost. The new ones, BTW, appear to be even improved offering solar power features. The workmanship, response, efficiency (work completed in less than 2 days) and expertise of the replacement crew (Joel, crew boss) was outstanding. I couldn't give any of our contacts with DryHome anything less than a 5 star and would give 6 star if that were possible. Again, I have no experience with other roofing jobs DryHome does but if they are of this same quality, I wouldn't look further.

Quite sincerely, the service by DryHome relating to the inspection, work, and follow up on my Fairfax station home following a recent storm was nothing short of stellar. To the untrained eye, it was not obvious that there was significant damage to the roof. Mike, the insurance and roof specialist from DryHome, was not only trained, but was literally bona fide and certified expert on wind and hail damage. He was not only able to objectively, verify Damage, but also provided evidence for damage that the insurance company had either completely missed or misrepresented. Unlike the interactions I had with my insurance company, Mike was always timely, professional and thorough in our communications- He guided me through the process to ensure I was able to receive the maximum amount of coverage. The DryHome installation crew who eventually did the actual work were likewise extremely professional and thorough in their work - both inside and outside the house. (I had to get a new attic fan as well as a bathroom skylight installed.) finally, the staff at Dry Home was likewise as equally professional, courteous, and timely, and all their communications would be throughout the process. Not only would I recommend DryHome for service, I actually already did. I noticed Mike one day after my work had been done back in our neighborhood and he said that my neighbor across the street, contacted them for service on their roof. We needed to get our roof inspected here in CountrySide due to the hail storm 8.29.2024. Company came out and inspected roof. Roof is ok and we were provided a detailed report on its condition free of charge. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest company.

I recently discovered a slow roof leak which had made its way through the drywall. With the storms we were having, I needed immediate help or the damage would have gotten worse. Two places gave me a window of a month wait but DryHome sent a rep out that same day to check the roof and put a temporary cover over the damaged area. Within days I had a very reasonable estimate so work could begin. The roof damage was repaired and completed and the drywall followed almost immediately. The contractors were all very courteous and friendly and worked tirelessly to complete the work. Most impressive for me was the immediate service to shore up the leak preventing more damage. Great company to work with. Dryhome came out for a roof inspection because my wife thought we might have a water leak. Roberto was the inspector and he fixed a couple of minor issues but let us know that our roof is in great condition. He could have easily sold us on roofing repairs since I completely trust Dryhome but he was super honest. If he had told me I needed a new roof, I would have told him to go for it. We also had Dryhome redo the roof on our gazebo a few years ago and they did a fantastic job. We'll need our windows replaced soon and I'll be calling Dryhome to get that done for sure.

The entire experience -- from first call to final billing -- was outstanding. Jim Miller (Sales Manager) was prompt, professional, and extremely informative. I very much enjoyed working with him throughout the entire process. The members of the roofing team (about 8 to 9 workers) were very dedicated. They worked two straight days – from 7:00 am (both days) until 8:00 pm (day 1) and 9:00 pm (day 2). From what I can see, they were very meticulous in ensuring the job was done right. The morning of the third day, a couple of members of the team returned to do a couple of final tasks and also conduct a clean-up. About 10 days later, Roberto (final inspector) came out to conduct a thorough inspection. He was excellent. The roof looks GREAT! I am very happy with it. All members of the office, the sales team, inspection team, and work crews were professional, courteous, and friendly. My only recommendation is that the company make more of an effort to control/clean-up the nails (from the old roof shingles) that fell to the ground. There were three efforts to use magnetic rakes to pick up nails. They picked up a large number but there were still many more left behind. I provided some ideas to Roberto.

James Sigmund did our inspection for damage and supplied us with an estimate for the repairs to submit to our insurance company. They were very helpful with the insurance process and were extremely thorough in the process of estimating the damage. Matthew Bergquist was very professional with explaining the process of the repairs and responding to my questions. He sent someone to do an inspection when the work was complete to check all of our yards and the street for any nails etc that may have been left from the repairs.

In 2023, I had a leak around a chimney at a different house, and Jim Miller came out to provide an estimate. He identified the problem as failed caulk, then used some spare caulk from his truck to fix the problem while we were standing there at no charge. After a major hail storm at month end August , I got hold of DryHome because my neighbor was using them and he’s usually quite picky on who he chooses. I spoke to the field engineering coordinator, Mike Weber, who impressed me with his overall technical knowledge, his engineering background and many licenses, and most importantly how he actually knew the players within my insurance company and how to deal with them. It’s that last part that’s probably the most important because handing insurance claims and insurance personnel on a major claim is not always for the faint of heart. Mike was excellent at keeping me informed and coordinating all the work as we Provided my insurance company with a detailed estimate and then eventually did the roof, the siding, the gutters, the downspouts the window wraps Each area of repair was done with a top-notch team that specialized in that work. They know all their workers, and most have been together for years. They worked with great skill and cleaned up everything when they were done. Senior experienced people would come by before, during and after to talk to me and do inspections to make sure everything was going well. They then came back for a little tuneups that I asked for when it was nearly 100% done. Most importantly, they helped me with my insurance company Adjustor who needed us to review their front and estimate with all the details provided by Mike to show the real scope of work was which was 50% more cost and effort than what they were estimating. We eventually got what we were asking for based on the good information he provided. To name some of the key people: Mike Weber handled the overall project and estimating; Ashley Webber worked the scheduling of the major work and approval of all estimates; Helen Fish was always there to send me texts on when people were showing up and coordinating around my schedule; very experienced supervisoryField folks like Chang and Roberto made sure everything was done exactly right and that I was pleased. DryHome a very well run local organizatio. I felt that if there was a problem , you could easily escalate it to the highest level person versus some of these National or much larger firms where you can get lost with bad communications, poor organization and other issues that many of my neighbors and others are still going through 6 months after the storm. DryHome rose to the top and I will use them more in the future as needs arise. I highly recommend them.

A few years ago I requested DryHome’s help to repair a small roof leak near one of the plumbing stacks. I called DryHome because they are recommended by Best Picks (a local version of Consumer Reports). We discovered a squirrel had chewed a hole in our roof, and they sent someone right away to repair it. Because the squirrel(s) had nested in our attic, I also had them do an attic disinfection. I am a recent customer of DryHome who had my townhome roof replaced, in addition to ancillary work on a bay window copper roof and repair to interior damage in my master bedroom. Their price was reasonable and competitive with similar companies. A few days after the roof was completed, a DryHome inspector came to make sure there were no problems with the roof installation. I saw some splintered wood planks in the attic of my 70 year old home and called several roof contractors to come and do a roof and attic inspection. DryHome sent Beny, with 30 years of roofing experience, to do the inspection. He called beforehand to confirm that he would be on time. An estimate from one of the other contractors came in at $16,000 to replace the entire roof. Beny went into the attic and immediately eased my fears, telling me that although there was wood damage, the roof was fine from the inside. He then climbed on the roof and did a detailed walk around looking for any problems. He said the roofing shingles were also in good shape He did not try to upsell me on unnecessary expensive repairs, but suggested a path forward with some small issues Bottom line....DryHome Roofing has integrity and can be trusted to recommend only repairs that are necessary instead of cashing in on vulnerable clients. They will be the first company I call the next time I need roof work done.

We worked with Beny and his crew for the roofing for my main unit as well as my detached garage. The team worked all day in hot conditions and finished within expected timelines. We were looking to replace our 26 year old original gutters that were not doing the job anymore (leaking, overflow issues). Received 3 estimates from companies we had done work with before or who had good reputations (we had prior experience with 2 of the 3 companies, none of which were large gutter companies). This company was very responsive when we had a roof leak into the house MANY years ago and I always remembered their immediate service and kind employee (night visit because of leak into staircase of house). Steven came out and was very personable and explained all the features I should be aware of when replacing our gutters today. I felt he would be very approachable if we had an issue down the line. He had samples of the screens on hand as well as photos of what the new ones would look like (on other homes completed). I ended up choosing them, even though their price was in between the other 2 companies. The workers showed up as scheduled (2 at start with a third a while later), went right to work and completed the job in good time. We were warned to look for stray screws as they can end up in the lawn despite the face the guys cleaned up the old gutters before they left. We did find several in the weeks after, so the suggestion was welcome. We have two rain barrels out back and they worked with them and made sure the new downspouts fit them nicely. I would recommend DryHome Roofing for new gutters as well as any roof repairs needed. I should add that the new gutters were installed from the roof, so no trees were damaged in the replacement (we have some large Japanese maples against the house and I was worried that if they used ladders, they could be damaged). The roof looked fine after gutter install. So far the new gutters are working as expected! No more overflow at corners onto soil near our foundation. Highly recommend this company for gutter repair.

They did a total roof replacement that included a mansard shingle replacement on front of house that is technically difficult. Marisio ensured all went just as planned, answered questions, managed getting the job done with his team that are all skilled craftmans and do excellent work. We had two old skylights replaced by Dry Home, and they did a phenomenal job. From estimate to completion was fast, and they gave us a couple different recommendations. We went with the Velux skylights with solar powered shades, and our kitchen is already about ten degrees cooler during the day. The shades can be opened and closed to allow in as much or as little light as possible, and the look absolutely beautiful. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Dry Home again for any project in my home.

We installed 2 Sun Tunnels. The workmanship was excellent. They were able to locate the roof side domes on the back side of our home so you couldn't see anything from the street. As an additional benefit, the units have a small solar LED light built in, giving us a nice night light.

I thought we would need all new gutters, but Steve informed me only some needed to be replaced (could have easily upsold me, but gave me honest opinion instead.) The gutter screening he recommended was also less expensive than we were considering, but was the best option for the pitch of our roof lines. I had a pleasant experience re-shingling my roof with DryHome Roofing. A week prior to the scheduled work day, I noticed a water leakage issue at the place where my roof meets the wall on the top floor. It could be a problem with either the roof or the gutter, so I called DryHome to see if they can send someone to help me identify the cause. Roberto came on the work day and did a careful inspection. Although he couldn't identify the exact cause, he said the problem should go away after the re-shingling is done, because both roof and gutter would be in good conditions afterwards. This is indeed the case – the leakage didn't happen again during the heavy rain 5 days after the work. The staff finished re-shingling in 6-7 hours for my 600 sqft townhouse roof, and they did a very good job cleaning up both my yards and my neighbors'. There were two additional cleanups after the work day. The signing of the contract was also pleasant. The DryHome representative Steve didn't use any "high-pressure" marketing strategy and just gave me some good information, a honest proposal and then waited patiently for me to accept it. The price I got is a few hundred dollars more than what I see on a flyer from another company, but I'm happy to pay for the good works that DryHome put in.

DryHome Roofing is the only roofing company you'll ever need! We have used them for three roofs on our last two houses.The first one was a simple replacement of our townhouse roof. The second was after we moved into a single family home with another simple replacement roof. This latest roof involved some troubleshooting. DryHome was able to track down an intermittant leak that occurred after we built an addition onto our house that created some tricky roof geometry. Their solution of proper shingles and underlayments has stopped the leak! And I can't speak highly enough about the professionalism of the whole staff. The estimator quickly generated a quote for the job and brought sample shingles for us to pick from. The roofing crew showed up right on schedule and was just getting started as I left for work. They covered all the shrubs and bushed and protected other things around the house. During the day, they kept me updated on issues they uncovered (old house means rotting roof boards) and how they were going to fix things. They even shared before/after photos. When the job was complete, it was hard to tell they were ever there. The only thing left behind was a couple of bundles of extra shingles, just in case there's storm damage years from now. DryHome made arrangements to meet with the insurance representative to insure all damages attributed to hail were covered. After three rounds of proof of damage were submitted, the insurer covered the entire damage (except the deductible). Minimal additional costs were added to final estimate to repair plywood on the roof which was undetectable prior to the project start.

Price was competitive with other bids, but more importantly, called out a few critical things others did not. Specifically, did not realize that plywood sheets needed to cover existing planks, due to the inevitable gaps. Price to do that was very reasonable too. The project was done while I was out of state, and they uploaded and sent a link with 20+ pictures, which was great to see.

From the beginning, we worked with Matthew B. who guided us through the entire process of working with our insurance company to get our roof replacement covered. Matthew was very diligent, professional, and, frankly, I don't think many others could have accomplished what he did. He definitely knows his business. Not only was he very helpful before the contract was signed, but he's been just as helpful and professional afterwards. From reaching out to me once the team arrived and letting me know he was available anytime to answering additional questions, he's always quick to respond and take ownership of keeping me informed , offering guidance, and ensuring I'm happy with their work. DryHome Roofing and Siding: Most highly recommended. We recently discovered a minor roof leak around the sealing material of an inoperable roof-mounted attic exhaust fan. After considering several roofing contractors to remove the fan and repair the roof, we solicited and received estimates and job statements from three companies. After informative meetings with the estimators of the bidding companies who came to our home to assess the repair needs, and subsequently received their respective proposed bids, pricing and warranty , we chose DryHome Roofing and Siding, Inc. (DH) for the repair job because of the following reasons: 1) Even before our decision the president of DryHome personally reached out to us, offering further assistance and information as we may need; 2) the estimator who came to assess the anticipated repair job patiently maintained contact with me and repeated the repair procedure that was previously described in their statement of work and proposed estimate, 3) members of DH's office staff were most accommodating in answering all my questions on scheduling, etc, and 4) DH's proposed cost for removing the non-functional attic fan, repairing the roof, and the length of warranty on labor and material were quite reasonable, considerably more favorable to us than those of the other two bidders. I should wish to also mention that the technicians who came to make the repair were courteous, friendly and professional from start to finish: no chit-chatting all loud talking, the clean-up and removal of all debris from the premises was excellent. It was a real pleasure to be served and helped by DryHome. We would surely consider them again for any future needs that fall within their scope business or service.

Beny is so easy to work with. He took the time to explain the product and process. He is honest and followed through on his promise to anchor a shutter screw, even though it was left off of the quote. Quote came in slightly higher than my insurance company paid but the shingles were an upgrade with a better warranty. Roberto's crew worked well as a team and finished the job in one day despite record high temperatures. They did a thorough cleanup of my deck and front yard. Office staff are all business and a bit gruff. In the end I was very pleased with the workmanship and product.

Shane helped us with our insurance for the hail damage we had to our roof. The insurance company initially declined our claim but Shane had us ask the insurance company to reinspect and was able to meet the inspector on site. We recently had the misfortune to discover that a pest removal company we hired 5 months prior to prevent bats from entering the attic, like several homes near us, had damaged our roof. Without informing us, this company drilled multiple screws into our roof to install metal mesh at each ridge vent causing water to leak onto our second floor ceiling. After six or seven companies that came out to give a quote to replace a skylight, Dry Home came out and delivered an on the spot quote (the other companies took a week or completely ghosted). Their quote was reasonable they didn’t try to over charge or offer more work than necessary. When they came out it took them 15 minutes to replace the skylight, from the time they knocked on the door until they packed up their truck and left. They communicated very well about the install day, any prep we should do and billing. The new skylight is great, well sealed and exactly what we needed for a competitive price. DryHome installed skylights and Sun Tunnels in our home about eight years ago and did a fantastic job. To replace our 27-year-old roof which was causing a leak in the dining room ceiling, we got estimates from several companies. We were so pleased when DryHome’s estimate was in line with (and lower than) some we received since we had total confidence in the company from our previous experience, their stellar ratings and good reputation in the community. We were very impressed with Beny, the representative who came to inspect our roof and the area in need of repair. We received a written quote quickly by email and were able to sign up and send a deposit very easily online. We were leaving on an 11-day trip soon after we signed the contract and told Dry Home to go ahead with installation at their convenience. They installed the roof a few days later, even after our car, mistakenly left in the driveway, forced the shingle delivery to be re-scheduled and the roof and clean-up to be done over a weekend. Communication by email and phone messages was excellent and always friendly throughout the process, and any questions I had were answered right away. Before we were asked for the final payment, Beny returned with his ladder and did a complete inspection of the roof and repairs. We loved being able to complete the process of contract acceptance and payments totally online. AND it was amazing to receive an email from DryHome’s sales manager, thanking us for our business and requesting we call him immediately if we weren’t thrilled with our new roof! It's funny in this environment of Northern Virginia and the typical seemingly majority of contractors across all industry spectrum's and the business with them riddled with lack of communication lack of clear and concise contracts lack of the ability to draw and execute the proper scope of work I'm sure you've experienced as we all have. DryHome came out in the top rankings. When we contacted them, they were very responsive and helpful in educating us on this process (since it was our first time needing a new roof). They always responded quickly when we had follow-up questions, and their responses were thorough and in language we could understand. Their pricing was reasonable. We received calls before and after the roofing to check in and give us updates. The roofers who came out spent about 12 hours at our home and did all that was required. Just today (08-31-2021) DryHome repaired our roof and siding, including a necessary upgrade, following a wind storm which downed a neighbor's large tree, causing the damage. Shortly after the wind event, DryHome inspected the damage and provided initial temporary repair to prevent deterioration until our work could be scheduled. DryHome did an amazing job through out the entire process. There were some manufacture delays, which was out of their control for my custom windows but they keep me informed the entire time. I loved the window wrapping so I adding on the entire porch to be wrapped as well. The screen door and front door are amazing too. The crew was professional and friendly and even my dog liked them. Which was great as I didn’t have to lock her in a room. They would even pet her and give her love as they worked. I would definitely use them again when I’m ready to replace my back slider door. I went with DryHome because they did a fantastic job on my parents' roof and so I trusted them. I just moved into my place and thought I just needed a few shingles repaired. Once they did the inspection, they informed me that I would need a new roof. I trusted their advice completely. They're quoted was extremely reasonable when compared with the neighbors' next door's roof. They did an AMAZING job. They worked quickly and were respectful of the property. They cleaned up every nook and cranny after their work, including the neighbors' backyard. Afterwards, they did a follow up inspection. The bag of cookies in the mail was a very nice touch. A wonderful experience with DryHome Roofing - - we were contending with a deteriorating re-roof now over 30 years old on a house which was built in 1959, as well as a tree-damaged roof over a small building housing swimming pool equipment and a badly-weathered roof over a bathhouse. We knew nothing about roofing so consulted neighbors and the Angi site for companies to talk to. We took bids from four companies. One was the company which re-roofed the house - our favorite going into this project, especially when it was also recommended by a couple of people from our neighborhood. The “original re-roof” company was the 2nd one we interviewed; Dry Home was the 3rd. Each company rep walked the roof, but only DryHome wanted to look inside the attic, and DryHome was the only one who was prepared to teach us about membrane roofs, shingles and brought samples. It was more of a learning session than a sales call. Two companies incorrectly told us our roof did not meet current code and included substantial extras to bring the roof up to code. We did not question this because it is an old house, but we did become curious when the DryHome quote did not mention them. We learned, from industry guidelines, that this roof remodeling was not necessary - our attic vents already met code requirements. DryHome and another company noted our chimney needed repairs – not in the scope of work for a roofing company, but nonetheless, DryHome gave us photos of the chimney and advice on what should be done so that we would be able to evaluate future bids from masons and pick someone who would do a good job. Price-wise, subtracting the extra “code” improvement costs, all four bids were in the same ballpark. We chose DryHome because of the thorough inspection and the sincere interest in making sure we understood what was being offered. The others handed us a paper with short statements and big numbers and no explanations. Likely they would have answered questions if we had known enough about roofing to ask them, but we had not yet met Jim from DryHome and did not realize how much information they were not giving us. Jim from DryHome, however, spent a lot of time explaining roofing to us before we ever got to the job estimate. Then, with the estimate, Jim went over every word and referenced aspects of the job he had explained to us earlier in our meeting - why specific materials would be part of the job and explained about how the work would be done – the approach was to give us as much knowledge as he could for us to make an informed decision. The people who brought materials to the property and did the work were gentle on the shrubs and meticulous about cleanup, and the roof they gave us has kept our home safe and dry. A very important post-script to add is that years afterward, DryHome continues to treat even a small repair with the same attention as when we were a big job for them. Just months ago a dead limb blew down from a tall poplar and speared a hole in the roof. DryHome came on an emergency basis, removed the branch, gave us a temporary patch, and sent someone right away to do a permanent repair. The view from the curb is a perfect match. If I had not taken "before" pictures, there is no way to even approximate where roof has been patched. For us, it boiled down to our having a field of good companies to choose from, and all would likely put on a reliable roof, but without an estimate and conversation with DryHome, we would not have known that the other companies did not inspect the property as carefully as they should have; we would not have the understanding of why our new roof would be a good and protective roof; and we would not have understood that our attic was already sufficiently vented per current code and did not require the different varieties of permanent and unnecessary structural changes to the roof that the other companies included in their bids. Among these companies rated "good enough" by some, without taking time to compare them with DryHome we would not know how much better another company can be.

DryHome replaced an old, rotted, oddly-sized exterior French door in our music room with a new vinyl slider, and we are very happy with the result. Their professionalism was evident from the first contact to job completion. Perhaps most impressive compared to some other contractors was that the job was fully completed, inside and out, including replacing the interior molding. We've been faced with "everything but..." jobs in the past, and DryHome was a welcome exception!

They installed gutter guards and they noticed that the builder left a gap between our house and the next townhouse. Luckily we did not have any water damage but could have been if we had a severe rain storm Dryhome installed plywood over the open space (about 4 feet by 2 feet) then shingled over the plywood to match the existing shingles. The crew provided photos of the work before and after. They were very cautious and respectful of our home. I was very pleased with there work and would highly recommend them.

The men came ready to work. They finished putting the new roof on in one day. Came back another day to put on new gutters. I've had the stains on the kitchen's ceiling for 5 years! Two different well-know insurance companies guaranteed that my roof was fine, and they both suggested solutions to the leak. I repaired the rood according to what they told me to do. BUT, the leak came back!! I saw two 5-star roofing companies listed in the Fairfax Cty. Best Pick Reports. I called the other company first (my neighbor recommended). They said they used drone for an estimate, and NEVER return my repeated calls. I called DryHome roofing, and voila, Nate came. Even with my very limited knowledge about roof, I believe Nate's diagnosis is on point. Joel & Victor did a great job repairing the roof!! We had DryHome do the siding and gutters on our townhome. There were some glitches getting the project started due to weather, the supply chain, the holidays, and basically 2020 in general. Once it got started though the team showed up and worked quickly. They were all professional and kept us informed on their progress each day and what to expect the next day. I wanted to express how pleased I am for choosing Dryhome so I decided to publicly post. I selected 4 other companies before making my final choice. Dryhome wasn't the lowest price but nor the highest. The reason I selected Dryhome was how patient they were with me and the amount of knowledge the estimator showed. I learned so much about roof ventilation that I feel like an "expert". They explained how some of the concerns and problems I noticed were due to poor ventilation of my attic/roof. The other companies just focused on the product spec's and price. I felt like Dryhome really believed in educating me so I make a wise choice. Dry Home holds a contest each year giving away a free roof for the holidays. I entered into the contest a disabled veteran whose home had fallen into disrepair. Both of our old plexiglass skylights leaked and needed to be replaced. The new glass skylights look great and I no longer worry every time it rains. The roofing work around the skylights looks perfect too.

We were very pleased with the work done by DryHome in installing 3 skylights and 1 Sun Tunnel at our home. Victor and his crew arrived on time, worked quickly and professionally, and took great care in prepping the job and cleaning up afterwards. They also followed up quickly and without question to do some cosmetic repair when a nail popped and created a bulge in the plaster near one of the skylights.

A new roof is more than just shingles and nailing. As we listed our house (with 19 yr old roof) for sale, DryHome Roofing became part of the effort to maximize the home's value. They covered our new driveway to eliminate truck or tools damage. Materials truck and lift crane delivered shingles from the street, never touching our newly landscaped yard. Had a good experience using Dryhome to diagnose and fix a leaking gutter problem (required fixing an incorrectly installed drip edge on the roof), install one new gutter, install gutter guards, and do some other minor roof repairs. They came out to do the estimate promptly and showed up on time to do it, then provided an expected timeframe to come out to do the repairs a couple of weeks later, pending good weather. Closer to that date, they verified the work date, showed up on time to do it, and completed the work as scheduled. The leaking gutter appears to have been fixed. They handled the entire project very professionally.

Dry Home replaced my roof including all of the plywood. They also replaced gutter guards with gutter screens. Jim Miller was very knowledgeable about roofing and answered all of my questions about the job. The crew did a very good job on the the roof and cleaned up everything. I had gotten 4 estimates for the job. Dry Home was not the lowest, but not the highest either. The job was scheduled quickly and was completed in one day. The gutter screens were installed shortly after. I am satisfied with the job and confident that Dry Home will be there if I have any problems. I would recommend Dry Home to anyone needing a new roof.

I was very happy with the work that DryHome performed from start to finish. Jim did an excellent job coming out to inspect the roof (including going in the attic to look if there were any major issues). He answered all my questions related to the proposal. There pricing was slightly higher then some other quotes I received but I felt that the quality of the materials that were suggested warranted the difference. When the crew came out to complete the work they were very efficient and did a great job cleaning up. All the work was completed in one day and they then had one of the senior members inspect the work before signing off. Finally I appreciated their invoicing system which was very easy to use and allowed for flexibility in paying the amounts due.

I’ve had my new roof for a year now and am happy with it. The estimate was very reasonable and Dryhome was the only contractor who actually went ON the roof and into my attic to inspect first (got a clean bill of health btw, no fake “problems”). I have been a Dryhome customer for over 20 years. After moving into my towhouse, the builder tried repairing the leak I had in my roof, but a year later, it leaked again, and the builder had already moved on. I found Dryhome, can't remember how I found them, and the Dryhome employee, David Spencer, showed up, climbed onto my roof, and immediately identified the problem. He repaired it and it hasn't leaked in over 20 years. Amazing. Throughout the years, Dryhome has been maintaining my roof to include replacing broken shingles. Recently, we had a bad windstorm in March. I had broken shingles from it, and I called Dryhome in April to get an estimates. Victor from Dryhome gave me an estimate to repair the roof; there were over 20 broken shingles. Victor also suggested that I file a claim with my home insurance company, and that I should consider replacing my roof due to the damages and age. I requested Dryhome to come out to give me an estimate for replacing the roof. Nate came out, and he was very helpful, knowledgeable and patiently explained and answered all my questions. Luckily for me, my insurance did cover the cost of my new roof with a deductible. My home insurance estimator reviewed the Dryhome estimates with me, and he pointed out things that will not be covered by insurance. He actually gave Dryhome a compliment on the "additional" things that they had in the estimate. He said that Dryhome included things that are considered as maintenance and they use better materials. It tells me that Dryhome is taking care of the entire roof, not just here to replace it (i.e. minimum roof replacement work). Basically, my insurance estimator confirmed what I have always believe in Dryhome - a company that takes pride in their work. Dryhome has a process in place for roof replacement. They require a 30% down payment on the roof replacement. Then the scheduler will call to schedule a date to replace the roof. The call can be days or weeks after they received the 30% down payment, because it depends on how busy they are. For me, it took about 1 to 1.5 months because there were a lot of wind damages in my area. Days before the roof replacement date, they dropped off the material on my roof. I didn't even know! LOL The morning they were supposed to come out, we were expecting rain. They called me early morning, and shifted the date by 1 day. The next day, the weather was beautiful, and I got my new roof. When I got home, I couldn't tell that they were even there. Everything was cleaned up. After the roof was replaced, I got a call from Dryhome. They were letting me know that they are sending another employee out to check the roof and making sure everything was cleaned up --- quality control!! This is when I learned that Dryhome has a very unique organization structure where they have employee specialized in repair, replacement and quality control. Impressive. Over the years, Dryhome has been very consistent with their workmanship and professionalism. Their prices might be higher than some contractors, but I am also paying for the reassurance that they will be here to warranty the work they have done on my roof. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I referred Dryhome to my neighbors, friends and family. They are all very pleased with Dryhome. I highly recommend Dryhome. One more thing, I get their newsletters, and Dryhome is involved in their community. In the newsletter, I also found a coupon for shingles upgrade! I got the architectural shingles and the coupon upgrade it to the Professional. Woohoo.

I had two skylights replaced when I noticed some moisture inside my living room. I am very pleased with the work. The estimator came out right away and answered all my questions. He explained exactly what needed to be done, and even explained the possible "hidden costs" that would arise if they found certain problems during the work. They ended up finding some rotted plywood that fit into the "hidden cost" category, but because of the information from the estimator I was prepared for the possibility and happy with the transparency. That being said, I am not completely on board with providing a large deposit prior to even getting an appointment. I understand that materials must be ordered and there is uncertainty with when they could come in, but I'm certain they could provide an estimate of the time it commonly takes to come in and set a tentative appointment. This would have put me more at ease, and helped with the obvious anxiety that comes with not knowing when your leaky roof is going to be fixed. In the end, I got a last minute opening and the roof was fixed way before I was anticipating, but the departure of the scheduling process from the clarity of the estimation process should be addressed. Regardless, given the quality of the work, I would strongly recommend the company.

Good quality work and services. Impressive professionalism. Very thorough and diligent crew that came to replace the roof; worked nonstop from early in the morning to past 6. Prep work was neatly and methodically carried out. The Quality Assurance (QA) crew came out shortly after to check on the work done and to ensure debris, especially nails, were cleared from our property. They were equally thorough in detecting and removing nails from the ground around the property, extremely critical as our kids often play in front and back. Very happy with their multiple follow-ups as promised, for both final inspection and hook up of the vents. Easy to deal with from beginning to end. We did plenty of research to compare prices and the quality of service and good delivered. DryHome's price was commensurate with the solid quality of work and good delivered. Strongly and highly recommend DryHome Roofing & Siding to families and friends.

Needed an attic fan replaced. If you've ever tried to hire a roofer, you will know how hard it is sometimes to get someone on the phone to even speak to you to schedule appoints and answer questions. Dryhome is a breath of fresh air with a FANTASTIC and RESPONSIVE front office staff and reasonable pricing to boot! Whole process was relatively seamless. Got a call back for an initial estimate (with Helen) in a timely manner, Estimator (Roberto) called ahead to let me know he was on the way, scheduling for the actual service date was easy and convenient. The installer (Victor) showed up and was extremely customer focused and cleaned up after the job with minimal interruption to my day. Thanks a bunch!

We just used DryHome to replace our roof, siding, trim and gutters and could not be happier with the results. From the salesman who came to our home(many times to answer the different questions we had), he was not a high pressure salesman and was quite knowledgeable in all aspects of the work to be completed. Once we signed the contract the scheduler kept us apprised of when the workers would be coming and we always knew who was showing up when. We were very impressed with the professionalism and the attention to detail and the friendliness of ALL the workers. They took their time and were craftsman in each of their fields. Each day the cleanup was amazing … you wouldn’t know that we were having work done if it wasn’t for the changing appearance of our home. Our house looks beautiful and we feel confident in the workmanship that was done.
