VELUX Introduces Solar Water Heating System In U.S.


Thank you for your interest in VELUX. Long the world leader in roof windows and skylights, VELUX is introducing its solar water heating system in the United States at this show.

 

The technology in this system has been proven in Europe for many years and comes to this country at a time when green building products are in great demand. The VELUX system will not disappoint the trade or consumers.

 

The low-profile rooftop solar collectors feature the same trusted flashing system utilized with VELUX roof windows and they can be mounted on shingle or tile roofs. The solar water heating systems utilize a recirculating glycol (antifreeze) solution and can be used anywhere in the United States with the exception of some parts of Alaska.

 

A complete system is on display at the VELUX booth.

  • All VELUX® Skylights meet the requirements of the ENERGY STAR® Windows program established by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  The ENERGY STAR label appears on VELUX product packaging, allowing consumers to easily identify the only skylight manufacturer to meet ENERGY STAR approval guidelines in all climate zones.
