Model company

Definition of a model company

"It is the Group's purpose to establish a number of Model Companies, which cooperate in an exemplary manner.

By Model Company we mean a company working with products useful to society, which treats its customers, suppliers, employees of all categories and shareholders better than most other companies.

A Model Company makes a profit, which can also finance growth and maintain financial independence."

Villum Kann Rasmussen, 1965

"Model" means a benchmark against which other companies will want to measure themselves or to emulate.

"Company" means the wide range of activities carried out daily by all our employees working towards a common goal.

Being a Model Company also means that we supply products that bring daylight and fresh air to buildings in order to create a feeling of well-being. As Villum Kann Rasmussen expressed it right back in 1945, "We are Daylight Engineers".

Our products must be of high quality and reasonably priced. We carry out our activities with the least possible impact on the environment and nature's resources.

The basis for all our activities is the customers' needs, so that they - also in future - find our products relevant to them and get good service and value for money.

We base our relationship with suppliers on dialogue and cooperation to achieve the VELUX goals. We focus strongly on developing our employees - creating the optimum framework for their activities and motivating them to do a good job of work.

We want to ensure the company's profitability in order to finance further independent development and growth in the future.
