This 1950’s ranch style home from the exterior gives no hint of the architectural drama inside. Daylight was a major theme of the remodel, and the architect didn’t want the clients to have to turn on a light switch before nightfall.

Living room and kitchen ceilings were removed and turned into oversized coffers capped with triple skylights with flared shafts. The entry too, got its own single skylight shaft for emphasis.
