The owners of this project were going to move into a downtown Houston loft and sell their home. The contractors were invited to bid on painting the 4300 sq ft home and get it fixed up to sell.

The first inspection revealed an entire home where the wallpaper had been stripped 23 years prior and not replaced. It also had a very leaky roof and leaking plastic bubble skylight, broken plumbing fixtures, dark brick floors and no storage room. When the owners were asked why they were selling the house they responded “We can't agree on how to fix it up.”

The contractors recommended gutting and remodeling the master bath, converting a Jack & Jill bath to new storage, repairing the leaky roof and replacing the plastic bubble skylight with 2 new VELUX skylights in a larger size with a tapered chase, installing 5 VELUX SUN TUNNEL skylights and some new lighting, painting and redoing the floors in distressed wood.

The owners of the house jokingly say that this project has saved their marriage. They love their home and are finalizing designs to remodel the rest of the house soon.
