The architects try to focus on environmentally conscious designs to minimize sustenance or resource consumption to prolong the availability of the world's natural resources. To help reach the goals on this project, they worked with the Park's personnel to incorporate skylights into the design, maximizing natural lighting while at the same time reducing the need for artificial light.

Utilizing skylights in various configurations to be environmentally responsible and deliver buildings that exceed expectations through the use of natural light was a main objective. Working with the VELUX sales and technical staff, they were able integrate the functional and aesthetic goals of the project and deliver a truly remarkable building to exceed the needs of the project.
